No! If it were so then how-come the dinosaurs didn't wipe out the planet. They were larger animals that ate huge amounts of foliage on smaller land masses. Our environment is a delicate balance. These problems occur when certain aspects become out of balance. We have gotten where we are by exceeding our needs and over populating. All of the effects come down to the same cause- people. Fewer people needing less livestock and more foliage left to grow. I think we are to quick to accept the assumptions of a few "experts". The real solution is in birth control/population control and it is a topic no one wants to be associated with.

Nope, the solution may be to simply rig a gas capture on the cows behind with a pilot light, every time the cow farts...POOOF!
Imagine being on a cattle drive at night, kinda like watching shooting starts only bigger and no camp fires required!

No, but we should not raise so many of them. We eat excessive quantities of beef and other meats and we need to cut back not only for the environment but for own health as well. I would like to see factory farmed livestock banned, leaving only the small quantity of meat that comes from small farms for people to consume.

I think we should just ban Humans.

No use in blaming the cow, it's not it's fault that we as Humans raised it to be food. So who's really the "harmful" one here?
