I hope they get out of there soon. It is just a nightmare for anyone with a partner being sent to war. I hope all our servicemen stay safe.
Do not spend all your time worrying (easy to say) think of your expected new arrival who will be waiting to see his/her daddy come home.

My son deploys 30 August - back to base today to prepare - been at home for a week - had 2 weeks leave this year, what a joke.
This will be 3rd tour in Afghanistan plus his 2 in Iraq.
Be like my wife & I - keep fingers crossed & work on the principle every day is one closer to him coming home.
Give your partner our very best wishes.

my fella is out in helmand provence in afghan an has been gone 4 about 6 months already. im a wren in the navy and have been to iraq twice.

My nephews not long come back and may go back again. Ex was in the RN during falklands and gulf, tis a scary time but you will come through it!
