he likes to be around you, not a bad thing at all. most cats only want to be around someone when they want something like pets, food love, the rest of the time they sleep

I hope someone can come up with a real good answer because my cat does the very same thing. He'll sit on my sink til I finish. It's to the point that I have to open up the shower curtain so that he can see me, even if that means he gets wet, and if anyone knows cats knows that they really don't like water. I thought it was only my cat that did that ha ha ha.

He may very well just miss you. Or he might be curious about the water. Have you tried letting the curtain open a bit so he can see that you're still there? I have to do that with my cats. Most of the time they jump up on the side of the tub while I'm in there.

He loves you. Maybe he wants to take a shower with you. My old cat Zeus used to like to sit in the shower with me. He didn't mind getting wet. Try and see if your cat just want a shower.

he is probably showing you his support, because you poor thing have to go into the water....

maybe he doesnt like the sound of the water. anyways he is keeping you company because he loves you and you are his hero/dad/friend/playmate all in one. you are the most important person in this cats life.

I think it's very cute. my current cat doesn't do that, but the one we had before would actually come into the shower too, she really loved water and used to play in the yard whenever the hose was running water.

Both of my cats have done this at some point or other, usually when I have been gone all day. I think it is their way of letting meknow that I should be paying attention to them, not showering lol.

My cat does the exact same thing. It can mean that the cat is worried about you or in the case of my cat just wants attention.

He's most likely announcing his presence and letting you know that he is in the bathroom with you. My two year old male does that all the time.
