okay Annie, this is how you get your cat Chloe to let you hold her again. btw tell her I said hi! whenever we hangout Chloe lets me hold her, i'll give you my technique.
1. look at her in the eyes
2. let her know who's boss [aka her]
3. meow twice
4. walk away, to show respect
5. come back with a glass of milk
6. look at her again, but this time meow 7 times.
7. let her drink the glass of milk, she needs her calcium
8. while she's drinking, whisper this, "mich dich halten lassen." in her ear, while tapping you're heels together three times. [the translation is in German.. the cats native language it means let me hold you]
9. when you finish, have your mum run over her with a chair in the office, and then take the chunk of hair and pretend to cough it out like a hair ball.
10. then AND ONLY THEN grasp her lightly, and pick her up.
works every time, best of luck xoxo.

How old is she? Between kitten and senior a lot of cats go through phases where they don't want to be held. As they get older and calm down more, this changes and they become more clingy. This of course doesn't apply for all cats, but a lot. She might just be going through a phase. One of my cats is almost three. Since she was about a year old, she won't let me hold her for more than 30 seconds unless I'm holding her in my arms and walking around the house like you would when trying to calm a baby.

Well, I'm assuming this has been going on for quite awhile and it's not due to any recent illness.
You don't want to force the cat to let you hold her..
I have three cats. Two love to be held and the other one, not so much. There are times when my third cat will come up to me and meow to be held though. He's quick to let me know when he's done with the "hands on" time as well.
Some cats just don't like to be held all the time.

Just let her come to you when you are sitting down. It could just be the way she feels when you take her off the floor. If you let her come to you, she is in charge of when she wants to be held.

When was the last time your cat saw a vet? There might be something physically wrong with her. Then again cats are finicky creatures and she just might not be as lovable now.

There is no way to train your cat. But before you try to hold her, pet her gently or brush her. That worked with my cats.
