evidently there is some difference of opinion on that.... there are the navelites, who believe that neither of them had one, and then there are those who believe that both adam and eve were formed to appear the same as the rest of us, who grew inside a uterus and were attached via a placenta, to our mothers.

The classic position would be that since they did not have or need umbilical cords, they did not have navels.
But there is a counter-proposal which has even had some resurgence in modern times, linked to the idea that the earth may have been created with "apparent age".
This dates to a book by Philip Henry Gosse in 1857.
MIchelangelo's Adam has a navel,
As do Durer's Adam and Eve.

Adam did not make Eve. GOD made Eve from Adam's rib. No they did not have a belly button because they were created not born.
