If the Latter Day Saints (mormons) preach against Prejudice then why are they against a couple of the same sex falling in love and want to be married? If they are sincere and want the same values as other married couples they why can’t the LDS let it be? It really seems so unfair and it makes me so mad! & NO I am not a lesbian.

By who's word is it that is isn't God's will? If it isn't God's will then why is it so popular on this earth? Who says that a same sex couple cannot have the same values as a non same sex couple? Who says they cannot share the same love for God as we do? Who says they cannot be accepted in heaven as we can be? I am sorry but this really upsets me! Maybe we are here to learn this lesson...That ALL MEN & WOMEN ARE CREATED EQUALLY!...God Bless us all no matter what we all feel about this topic!

this prejudice makes me angry as well; my grandma is baptist and makes me go to her church, where i often hear the same kind of nonsense. i think it is very stupid of them to think the way that they do about gay couples, and they are simply being hypocrites in judging people just because they are different from themselves. same-sex couples should be treated just the same as opposite-sex couples and given the same rights. there is nothing wrong or immoral about being gay.

Well, basically, we believe it is a serious sin. We believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman, that is the way the Lord wants it. We do not judge the person for their choices, that is not our responsibility or right, but we have the right to not support that lifestyle because we believe it is wrong. Just like we do not support alcoholism, doing drugs, lying, stealing, cheating, those are all sins we believe in God's eyes... so we abstain from those things and stand up for the right. Interesting point that you make that it is "so popular" in the world so why not just accept it... the world's ways are not the Lord's ways.
If you don't mind reading a little, I have provided a link to "The Family: A Proclaimation to the World" written by the First Presidency of the church:
http://www.lds.org/languages/proclamations/family/start_here_0.pdf
Reading it may give you some aspect as to what we believe about the sacred nature of man and woman and the earthly and eternal aspects of the family unit.

>>By who's word is it that is isn't God's will? If it isn't God's will then why is it so popular on this earth?<<
Man doesn' do God's will most of the time. God doesn't force us to do His will. We must have free agency to choose between Him and Satan (evil).
>>Who says that a same sex couple cannot have the same values as a non same sex couple? Who says they cannot share the same love for God as we do? Who says they cannot be accepted in heaven as we can be?<<
God says it. We believe that God speaks to His church thru his prophets. If you believe that said prophets are of God, then you must listen to them and do what they say God says.
>>It goes both ways!!!! Why can't LDS leave same sex couples alone and let them have their marriages?
We leave them alone. We do not believe in SSM, and GOD was the one who said do. If one believes that our church's leaders are prophets of God, and God tells us no same sex marriages, then you do or don't do what God says. We don't believe that SSM are sanctioned by God; we leave them alone, but they can't join our church and still be married to someone who's of the same sex. among other things.
>>I should not just pick on the LDS..I should pick on all the churches who are fighting the same sex marriages.c..So lets change that...This is to all the churches or religion that is against two happy people wanting the marriage as any couple in love should have...<<
Like I said before, one must choose, does one believe this and such, or does He accept that gays can marry like everyone else?

Genesis chapter 13, 18, and 19 (which tells of how "sodomy" came from Sodom).
Homosexuality: 1 Cor. 6:9-10, 1 Tim. 1:10, Deut. 23:17, Ezek. 16:50, Gen. 13:13, Gen. 18:20-22, Gen. 19:4-9, Jude 1:7, Lev. 18:22-27, Lev. 20:13, Lev. 20:15, Rom. 1:24-32

If you want the Church's official stance check out this link
http://www.lds.org/library/display/0,4945,161-1-11-1,00.html
We believe that sex between the same gender, sex outside of marriage, masturbation are all sins. One reason we are on this earth with bodies is to learn to overcome physical temptations. We can't stop people from acting certain ways. The only disciplinary power the Church has is to only withhold membership from those who refuse to repent and live in accordance with it's teachings. That's the same right that every group has. I know a few members of the Church that have chosen to live celibate lives because their sexual preference is contrary to the Church's teachings. They are full members and enjoy all the blessings of the church that I do, except on that one issue.
I'm sorry if this conflicts with your beliefs, but really there is no need to be so bitter and angry. I try to not let others beliefs dictate my feeling, I suggest the same for you.

I think a lot of churches need to look within their own communities and find all the wrong that is happening, and leave something alone that makes 2 people happy, we are on this earth for such a short time, if people are not hurting anyone else why can they not be happy

It is unnatural. Yes, I personally know people who claim they were "born this way". And you say, "how can that be unnatural if God made them that way." Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of their "whoredoms" and "unnatural behaviors". Where do you think the word sodomy comes from? God destroyed 2 entire cities because of homosexuality. We are against same sex marriages. However, people who have homosexual urges are expected to live a chaste life because God has commanded that "a man is not to lie with another man". It's just one of the challenges they have in their lives.

"Popularity" should never be a legitimate reason for doing something.
You could say that murder is very popular on this earth, yet it is not God's word. You could say that stealing is very popular on this earth, but it is not God's word either.
To me, one of the main purposes of life is to come to this earth and be a member of a family. That is how we get here, we are born to a set of parents and we live together as a family. Homosexual relationships, while you might say are a way to express love to one another, defeat the purpose of a family. Those unions do not allow the members to be parents and raise their children in families. One might say that adoption or foster parenting is a way to allow homosexual partners such acts of parenting. true, but it still defeats the opportunity for you to procreate and "make" your own family and go through that part of the experience.
I am trying not to sound prejudicial toward homosexual people as I try not to be. however, as I am stating, such unions do not allow for the creation of natural families and to me, such is not in God's plan for us here on this earth.
Why people have homosexual attractions and tendencies, I cannot say. i do agree that they exist. All I can say to that is that God will provide answers to that, whether later in this life or the next (after death when we return to him.)

i think of the subject the anti mormons have with it incredibly is not on the subject of gay rights marriage. It factors to the certainty that the church could desire to proceed to be out of politics. Abide by ability of the guidelines of the land. not control them. maximum human beings comprehend that anybody has their own opinion concerning gay suitable marriages. and maximum human beings admire that opinion. It merely isn't suitable for the chief of any church to become in touch in the politics in that way. the only reason absolutely everyone could arise and bypass away while the letter is examine isn't because of the fact the sell comparable intercourse marriage yet because of the fact they have not got faith their church could desire to be engaging in that way. President Monson could desire to easily say that he believes the marriage is defined between a guy and a girl. They shouldn't bypass to the quantity of telling his individuals the thank you to behave politically. the version between the 1978 is there they replaced their stance by ability of asserting yep god has now suggested it incredibly is okay for the african race to get carry of the preisthood. as a result changing the own church homes stance in direction of darkish skinned human beings. Now he's telling his individuals the thank you to think of and act in direction of a mushy and political difficulty. Which replaced into on no account accomplished in 1978. In 1978 the LDS church replaced its own rules. on the instant Thomas Monson is attempting to control the state of californias rules. great distinction 2 thoroughly diverse money. comprehend?

We do let them be -- but they cannot be Mormons.
Individual LDS members may choose to vote against same sex marriages because marriage is to be between one man and one woman.
It's our opinion and our belief why don't gays leave us alone?
D
Added:
We can vote how we choose -- and so can you -- we can have our beliefs and you -yours
you seem to want us to change our beliefs to gay appropriate beliefs which we do not have to do.
you can believe any thing you want -- you can vote any way you want
So can we.
We do leave you alone but we can still vote marriage for one man and one woman. We do not vote as a church block -- we are not interviewed about how we vote but the LION-SHARE of us vote against gay Marriage and we vote for "regular" marriage because that is how we believe.
We are not on the attack -- we vote to preserve marriage not change it.
My comment about why don't gay's leave us alone -- was to show the IRONY of your question!!
Good Luck
