No you have to actually physically wear the book as a chestplate. There's a fair chance it can stop a bullet or a scimitar. Trust me, that's the only possible way that thing can really protect you.

as Salaam Alaykum~
Just your faith? Make not the mistake of underestimating faith my friend.
I have a friend named Kasim who used to work for me. He was in the Bosnian Muslim army during the Balkan war. He is a big athletic guy and he had been a professional soccer star before the war. Kasim had been fighting for 5 years. Most of his family had been killed by Serb paramilitary death squads. He always carried a small pocket sized Quran in his breast pocket right over his heart. Most of the Bosnian Muslim soldiers did this too. One day as his unit was running one by one across a street Kasim got hit by a sniper. The high power bullet hit him in the shoulder and knocked him down. When he got the hospital and they looked him over everyone got very excited. He asked what was all the excitment? They showed him. That sniper bullet had been aimed at his heart. The bullet had hit his little pocket Quran, gone through about half the pages and was deflected out to the left and hit him in the shoulder. The little pocket Quran had saved his life, no question about it.
I asked Kasim when he was telling me if he still had that pocket Quran.
He pulled it from his pocket and showed me. I asked him if he knew what page the bullet had deflected from. He did, he told me the page and we opened the book to it. You could see where the bullet had passed through all these pages but it had stopped on the page with this passage from Ch 39:
039.042
"It is Allah that takes the souls (of men) at death; and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep: those on whom He has passed the decree of death, He keeps back (from returning to life), but the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed verily in this are Signs for those who reflect. "

I was touched that he still carried this little worn pocket Quran that had been instrumental in saving his life.

When they say, they will look for the one to come, they where talking about the Saints! Not them on Earth now... they will look for him though the books.

Adam, Noah, Musa, Isa, Muhammed SAW Peace to them all and eternal blessings inshAllah tahala

And Abrahim A.s. was the first to ask for Islam without intervention that we know about other than his enviorment he was disturbed with and kept going back to Allah SWT for answers Al hamdoullah, they all did! Salam

Like, if you got shot at, the book would stop the bullet. The bible is literal silly.

you can only be protected by the book if its very large and you hold it up over you when it rains or to block things that are being thrown at you.

if all things are written then why are books still being published.
