The laws are useful to hold down the middle class. So the immigration laws are primarily applied to small businesses, in order to keep them from competing with big businesses.

Both major political parties work to help the very rich and very poor against the middle class. Get used to it.

I haven't noticed, not sure of which big business you mean. A link of more info or some valid information and details are in order for this question to be of value to anyone.

But to answer your question, its not OK, its never OK. Most major employers do their best to check backgrounds and verify. However funny thing about criminals--they know how to lie, cover tracks, cheat, etc. Its what they DO.

The employer has to make a good faith effort to verify the legality of their employees. However, if they have received falsified information the employer is not held liable generally.

Illegals are still working in big business because they are engaging in identity theft. If they have fraudulent papers, businesses have no reason not to hire them...at least until the feds come looking for them for this felony.

ya i know. big businesses get to walk all over the law. is it really so hard to be morally right & hire legals?
