I am an exempt empolyee working monday thru Friday in California. My employer has mandated we work Sept. 22nd and 23rd. This would be 12 continuous mandatory days of work. Is this legal? What is the legal amount of days an employer can mandate you work?

Sorry Mr. Debbie Downer (pengy or whatever your name is)- it would not make a difference if I was being paid time in a half. The problem is that I already have plans that weekend and tickets I have paid for. And please do not assume anything about the company I work for. I do have to take a vacation or sick day if I call in sick.... Dumbo....
