So all you anti's want mass deportation right??
Heres the thing, the leaders in the presidential race don't really talk about mass deportation. They talk about securing our borders and "enforcing" the current immigration laws.
In reallity heres what they want. They want to get elected, "secure" our borders and eventually give amnesty. WHy don't you guys see that...they know mass deportation WILL NOT WORK.. . . .
i have yet to hear a candidate say they want mass deportation and by the year 2012 i predict we will have had amnesty and not mass deportation. . . .and by the way, lou dobbs will probably have a heart attack when this happens lol. . . .

Big D, I have to agree with about 90 percent of what you said. But I still don’t think mass deportation is possible, it will cost billions of dollars and many companies will go bankrupt (lack of cheap labor), outsourcing will jump in record numbers and eventually an economic catastrophe. . .

Nick i dont think you understand the amount of damage a mass deportation would do to the country. Are you willing to pay more in taxes? (that the illegals will no longer pay, both in income tax and general taxes when you buy goods)
And kiss a huge portion of jobs godbye cuz they WILL move out of the country in search for cheaper labor. Leaving the middle and lower class job less. . . .

I agree with you. I think that the reason the amnesty didn't pass was because of political strategy, but as soon as we have a new president- amnesty will pass- and the antis will have no choice but to accept it is the best thing to do to bring people out of the shadows...

For a person claiming an IQ of 121, you certainly have made a lot of mistakes. 1 - "As far as Deportations go, a large amount of Americans support a Mass Deportation like the ones done in the 1950's under President Eisenhower, who deported MILLIONS of illegals to free up jobs for returning American veterans after WW2 and the Korean War" The millions that you claim turned out to be less then 200k which included American Citizens as well. The number was inflated by including those that the INS "THINK" went back to Mexico. (1) 2 - "40-50 million illegals currently in the U.S." You are seriously claiming that one out of every 6 to 8 people in the US are illegal aliens? Homeland Security currently claims around 12 million. (2) I've come across your number before but it's always based on: "Mr X thinks the number is more like 30 - 40 million" and absolutely no facts. 3 - "Blanket Amnesty for ALL illegals, going against the will of the MAJORITY of the American people. Causing more division in our country since the last civil war. Causing our county to fracture, leading to the States against Amnesty seceding from the U.S. Causing ANOTHER Civil War!.............And other world powers will likely take advantage of our States fighting each other, invade, leading to a third front!..........Basically DESTROYING the U.S. all together!" In 1986 Regan signed into law the "Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986" which granted blanket amnesty to all illegal immigrants in the US at that time which ranged from 2.7 to 5 million. (3) Can you post anything that showed this event caused riots/civil wars/foreign invasions? 4 - "Ok, lets face reality here........The MAJORITY of Americans are against ANY Amnesty...So don't try to argue otherwise....OK? All the polls admit this" All the poles? (4) First of all I will state I am for immigration reform and if people are indeed here illegally then I believe they should be returned to their country. If they want to become US Citizens then they need to work through the system to become naturalized. However, I do have an issue when anybody starts stating rants as facts and making nothing short of idiotic claims and statements and distorting facts to make them appear more favorable to their cause and the causes I believe in. Everybody is welcome to their opinion, but if you are going to debate a topic such as this you need to stick to the facts or you will end up looking like an idiot - but for somebody with an IQ of 121, you should already know that.

It is already a subject of topic. You won't hear any of the politicians speak of mass deportation. What you are likely to see is a politician get elected and then the subject will resurface toward the end of his or her term and the deportation will likely start then. Personally I don't agree with mass deportation I beleive we should only deport those that come to this country and wave another country's flag. All of the protesters at the schools will be jailed for insighting a riot and the illegals will be sent back to their country of origin. The civil unrest caused by the ignorance of a few illegals at our schools is causing problems for other illegals that came here to support themselves and this country rather than sit on their butts and draw welfare.

It is not doing very well because of all the illegals draining our hard work. As far as the illegals hitching a ride to Vegas for work I think not they will sit at home and try and justify sitting on their butts the real MEN that are here illegally are at work right now and they are likely tired of supporting you as well that is why they left their original country to come here because you have screwed yours up already. The MEN are working and will pay their dues to this country while you all sit at home and whine or insight a riot where our kids go to school. Wanna piss off some U.S. citizens? You are doing it by messing with our kids trashing our schools and burning our flag go back to the slum you created. We don't want you here.

Sorry you pissed me off. If you have a real interest then you are right mass deportation is not going to work. But sending back those that don't try to help our country will help. Outsourcing is already happening and won't stop. You are looking at another great depression brewing.

You may not realize it but OPERATION W ETBack WORKED!

750 agents targeted agricultural areas with a goal of 1000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Around 488,000 people fled the country for fear of being apprehended. By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and the INS estimates that 500,000-700,000 illegals had left Texas voluntarily. To discourage re-entry, buses and trains took many illegals deep within Mexico before being set free. Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Veracruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles (900 kilometers) south.

They shipped them far away, not just over the border to scamper back into USA.

WHAT don't people understand??? It's about the rights of AMERICANS, not Mexicans!

Yes mass deportation right now. We don t want to become your country of origin. We dont want to change our culture we don t want to have to speak another language and we don t want to have to pay
for you benefits that you don t deserve. It s going to hurt the Economy? bull
Give the immigrant a legal permit to work for 2 years than send them home and replace them with other
that are waiting in line.
This way we will never run short of workers and we will control who comes in to this country
And for the ones that are here illegally don t give them jobs and don t rent to them they will eventually go back home. End of story

Um... according to the current immigration laws, enforcement would entail the deportation of every illegal alien in the county.

The problem is that the illegal aliens are trying to confuse the issue.

They say it's a racist thing... that the United States hates brown skin. What a crock. I don't think we hate much of anybody. Right now we're fighting a bunch of radical Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq. But we have a sizable Muslim population in the US who are not persecuted. What we hate in the United States is people entering the country illegally, telling us we have to learn their language, not paying taxes, and damaging our economy because of fraudulent public assistance claims, by occupying our jails, attending our schools, and thinking, because of all that, they deserve citizenship. I don't care what their nationality is.

They abuse the words immigrant and alien, and legal and illegal. Perhaps that's out of ignorance, but my gut feelling is that it's intent to mislead and to gather support from the immigrant population.

The United States has no problem with people who enter this country legally with the intent to support the country and to sever their ties with their former country. These are legal immigrants. Those are the kind of people who founded and built this country. We welcome these.

The United States has no problem with people who enter this country legally for work, or education, or any other legal purpose. We are glad to share with our neighbors who obey our laws.

The United States even understands that some people are forced to enter this country under duress. Often they have neither the knowledge nor the time to go immediately into the naturalization process. Over the years, they contribute to the society and to the country as if they were citizens. They may retain parts of their former culture, but they adopt and adapt to the US culture. They obey the laws. They pay their taxes, and they stay out of jail and off the welfare rolls. They are effectively hard-working US Citizens... but without the paperwork. These have earned the right to amnesty, if they will begin the legal processes within a reasonable period of time.

But illegal aliens have absolutely no interest in the United States other than what they can get out of it. They give no allegiance to this country. They abuse the system. And, above all, they break our laws. And they outlaw themselves intentionally. One does not sneak across the border by accident. They know they are breaking the immigration laws or this country... and they do it anyway. They refuse to work legally accepting payment only in cash so, having no reportable income, they are exempt from taxes. They are breaking the tax laws of this country because they intentionally illegally circumvent them.

They tell us that they are doing important work that nobody else whats to do and they are doing it for less money, thus, they claim, they are helping the economy. Granted, harvesting our crops is helpful to the economy. But they could pick the crops just as well if they got work visas... as they used to do. But there are alternatives to illegal labor. 200 years ago, the only way to harvest cotton was by hand. But some enterprising individual invented the cotton gin. United States ingenuity can come with a machine that can harvest anything we can grow. And it will be done legally. And it will be the product of our labors, not of an alien who only wants our money.

They whimper that they're poor and need the money. They say they work hard... let them work hard in their own country. They say they can't get work in their own country. So fix your country. They can't fix their country. Then enter the United States LEGALLY and become citizens.

I've used this analogy before...

I have an apple tree in my yard. Every year I look forward to the sweet, red, apples I can pick from that tree. I enjoy the apple pies and cobbler that it provides. On Halloween some of the neighborhood kids come over and bob for apples like their great grandparents might have done.

Suppose a stranger happens past the house and sees the tree. He comes to the front door, knocks, and asks permission to pick a few apples. I'll probably grab a shopping bag and help him pick the some of the best apples on the tree. If he offers to pay I'll probably tell him it's not necessary. If he apologizes that he cannot afford to pay, I might even give him a few bucks.

Suppose another stranger happens past the house and sees the tree. He climbs the fence and climbs the tree breaking some of the branches in the process. He takes all he can carry. Perhaps he takes off his jacket and piles it as full as he can carry... perhaps fuller so that he drops what he can't carry. This individual has broken the law. He is trespassing on my property. He is destroying private property, to wit, my apple tree. He is stealing what is not his, the apples. When I run him down and threaten to report him to the authorities... or with bodily injury, he pleads with me. He was hungry. His family was hungry. He has no money with which to pay for the apples. I don't care any more what his problems are. He's a trespasser, a destroyer of property, and a thief. And all he had to do was just knock on the door and ask.

The individual with at least a modicum of intelligence can see the difference. The illegal aliens don't want thinking people to think. If people have time to think, they would come up with some way to boot these trespassers and thieves out. So they cloud the issue. And a few US citizens are gullible to believe it.

Mass deportation? Whatever. I really doubt that would happen! People will not let it happen. A guest worker program and amnesty are the best solution.

he has the police sweeping the streets and picking up these day workers and if they are undocumented...well then it is bye bye to them.
and everybody knows that the police in vegas are trigger happy so if they try and run.... well thats just a little less the tax payers have to pay.

Wow! You are so articulate. There are people who are willing to send illegals back. It is happening more and more. Can we get rid of all of them? No! Can we make a big difference and send the message that we don't need anyone who will not follow our laws? Yes. Continuing to fund the illegals is what will not work.
