if u can do 500 crunches a day, chances are ur not doing them right. Personal trainers always say that the maximum amount of crunches a person can do the CORRECT way is 50.

You need to do cardio, not more crunches. What you have on your waist is fat, and crunches are only going to tighten the muscles underneath a little bit. It is not really going to help. Do a lot of cardio and go on a diet.

500 crunches a day won't nessesarily burn fat...it will transform it to muscle. Therefore, you may not drop a size, but you will firm up tremendously.
So, with that in mind, if you do 500 crunches a day consistantly (every day), it should take about three weeks to firm up.
Good luck!
P.S. If you want to drop sizes, talk to a trainer.

It is about getting your heart rate up, not just the number of crunches/day you do. Drink lots of water and then drink more. Get your heart rate up several times a day with various activies. Break a sweat. Eat lots of fruits and vegitibles. You will be suprised how much weight you will loose.

for one thing crunches wont get rid of your fat by themslves you have to be willing to do cardio and get out there and hit the treadmill, bike, or swim not just crunches b/c all they do is give you muscle not eliminate fat.

you will need to do a lot more cardio than that! crunches burn near to no calories the only thing they do is build the abdominal muscles.

crunches wont make you lose belly fat - all they do is build muscle, they dont burn fat.
the only fat burning exercise is cardio - do it 4-6 times a week for average of 45min to lose fat (we cant spot reduce body fat)

That wont eliminate the fat on top of your abs. You will just get wider. You need intense cardio to burn fat.
