By the time I was 13 years old, I was using drugs, drinking alcohol, and involved in criminal activity. At 17 years old I ended up in Jail for one year. I was released and then I became a drug addict,. I am ashamed of the life that I once lived, By the age of 22, I was arrested on many charges, and while in jail this time the only book that they would give me to read was the Bible, I wrote on the walls, then finally I started to read it. I was raised atheist and had never seen or picked up a Bible in my lifetime thus far. I was saved by this Bible, I do believe, Does anyone else think it is possible?

Of course it is possible and it happens. Your life is a testament to the power of God. The Bible is what drew you to God and enabled Him to enter your heart. Good for you! God bless you!

Yes it is the saving Word of the Living God that changes hearts. Only Jesus can change hearts. For this reason God inspired men to write His Holy Scriptures. He that comes to God must believe that He is God. There is great power in the Scriptures. Can you imagine people not wanting to read the Bible? The Bible gives life when nothing else can. God is life.

Your story in not anything new. The first story that I know of like yours was the man on the cross beside Jesus. He is also the only one that we are certain of that is in heaven.

of course!!!!!!!
The Bible is the mind of Christ. The word of God offers hope.
I am finally thankful for my horrible, crappy childhood. I am grateful because my situation led me to the Lord.
I needed a good uplifting question today.
Thanks.
I am very happy that you know Jesus and how much he loves you.

Too bad they didn't hand you some discourses on Buddhism.

It would have been a much better religion to be credited with "saving" you.

Why only a christian book? Are they prejudiced against any other religions? Did they give you any choices?

Sure, if you believe in Jesus cleansing you.
If you have an ongoing, faithful relationship in prayer
with the Lord. Do you? I hope so.
