I am trying to find out what this means, my husband has his fathers St. Christopher's Cross and it has the stars and strips shield and air force wings on it. Please help me.

St. Christopher is one of the "holy helper" patron saints. I gave my honey a St. Christopher medal when he joined the Navy, as St. Christopher is attributed to "helping" Sailors. He is also noted for helping those in the "transportation" field, which could be where the aviation wings come in to play.
