I just learned that California law allows me to make a 'free-right' turn, that is yield instead of coming to a complete stop in permissible intersections. I did just that a few months ago and recieved a ticket for not coming to a complete stop. I've just recently read an article about this 'free-right' turn here...

It's already been months passed since my ticket. Do I have a case for fighting this in court still?

If all of the requirements were in place when you were ticketed, you MAY be able to have the violation removed. Keep in mind that there has to be a concrete divider at the intersection that, basically, makes the right lane a seperate lane from the others at the intersection and that there is no sign or light signal in that lane. I am sure that you are aware that you still need to yield if there is trafic coming from the left.
