It would be awesome..... Let Microsoft develop games like halo let Sony (ps3) create the hardware and Nintendo add a little unique twist to it all...It would be awesome....maybe it could happen couldn't it...

i really doubt that. as of right now, the Nintendo Wii is out selling and beating both PS3 and the XBox 360 (both on a one-on-one sales comparison and combined) if anything Nintendo can last longer than the Playstation and XBox, maybe buying out the systems (but i highly doubt that). Look at what happened during the console wars. Nintendo had a lot of competition, but still came out ahead. All I can say is this, who ever thought a Sonic the Hedgehog game (Sonic, the face of Sega) would ever be on a Nintendo console.

I guess that sounds just a little cool but, each game console makes games for different types of gamers. The PS3 has the most variety of games, the Wii has mostly childs games, and the 360 makes a bunch of action/shooting games.
Each company has it's own goals for the future and 3 different companies trying to agree on one thing is just impossible.

it kinda would, but if you think about it deeply it will cost more... a lot more.
see, if they all merged: therefore, there will only be one platform. there would be a monopoly and they would charge twice as much as the real value since they are the only ones making the systems. only 1 platform means that there is no competition between the platforms to keep the prices down.

No, that would be horrible. The gaming industry would turn into a monopoly. The best marketing structure is perfect competition, and without competition, we're not going to get the best products.

Well you would get a very wet xbox that played blue ray discs so I suppose if your into that sort of thing ,Where can I order one today and how much is it...

i have seen a homebrewed ps360 controller! works on ps3, the 360, and on PC!

Would be cool , but it;s not happening...
If possible I would say that it would probably be sony taking over nintendo and it'll be all XBOX and PS
