singing help...?

Well I LOVE to sing!! and I'm pretty good...but I could be better....is something that could help me improve my voice or something without taking voice lessons...?

Don't smoke.
Warm up with long tones. Try and maintain a steady pitch. Breath deep and fill your lungs. Relax your throat and voice box, let the air move naturally from "the gut". Don't force it.
Let your natural voice resonate. Try not to imitate your favorite singers. Each of us has our own sound and style.
Work on it every day. It is much like body building and takes repetition to develop over the long haul. Conversely, rest your voice when you need to.

Clasp your hands in front of you. Then, while still holding on, pull apart. Those will help you belt higher notes.

Breath through your diaphram.

Posture is key. It helps if you are standing up- no hands in the pockets.

Practice with the pianno. Just start at the lowest note you can reach, then go up. Doing this will def. widen your vocal range.

Also, sing this: ME MAY MI MO MOO
or... DO RE (ray) ME FA SO LA TI DO.

I am in choir, and we have been state champs 3 years running, so I think I know my stuff, eh? Hope this helped!

It's all about sitting next to your piano and just going over simple scales.. mah may mee mo moo.. it may sound silly but it works! :O) use the diaphram! :)
or.. singing's all about listening.. like to help me sometimes i listen to songs and i sing over them.. and i sing not just the melodies but the harmony too :)
OR.. salt water.. (it's supposed to be good for the voice)
