Government agents will be around shortly, they will persuade you that it was actually very warm. In fact it was so warm that you got sunstroke, hence your confusion.

They will also leave a tax form, this will be for £500, the reason being that you are producing too much Co2 and need to be punished.

Once they have gathered enough tax revenue they will give themselves a huge bonus and go and buy a performance sports car that is in the highest road tax category and thus further contribute to global warming.

They will then increase taxes to cover this bill as they will pass it off as a works expense and thus the general population will be responsible for paying it.

Global warming is a myth. The "Thatcher Government" created it to justify it's position against the miners. The present government use this as an excuse to raise tax. Environmental campaigners are poor misguided fools. The weather has (and will always) flutualate. Enjoy the changes of the British weather.

global warming is the trend of earth's collective average temperature, including the oceans, getting a few (yes, just a few) degrees warmer. it isn't "weather" it's slow *climate* change.

weather is what it does today, tomorrow, any given DAY (sunny, chance of rain, etc)
climate describes what the weather usually does over time (temerate, arid, tropical, etc)

I don't know whether this question is intended to be flippant but if it isn't then I'm afraid you've missed the point somewhat.

The climate is very complicated, far too complicated to even attempt to cover in Yahoo answers and if your question is a serious one I don't think there's much point in trying.

Because it is the global average that counts, not the temperature in one location on one day. Anyway, how do you know it wouldn't have been even cooler without global warming?

Please send some of that my way. It has averaged 5C above normal and no rain for three weeks in my small part of the world.

You're just greedy keeping the cooler weather to yourself.

And don't you know the difference between climate and weather? Weather is when it's cooler outside, climate is when it's warmer outside. All cooler temps are dismissed because they aren't real climate readings.
