Sorry for being such a noob, but im trying to figure out a configuration for my car. I want to run 4 120 watt speakers and a sub. Does this mean I need 1 4 channel amp and a 1 channel amp for the sub or is there an easier way. Please send your best configurations.

That would be the standard way.

And just a few tips:
1) Dont look at power output as a way to rank speakers. Many are highly overrated, and anything past bout 50 watts RMS on a door speaker is way overkill. 50 watts running through 4 door speakers is painfully loud. And look at RMS power handling, not peak. Peak is pretty pointless/very hard to accurately rate.
2) if you want good sound quality, get an equalizer, and have a stereo shop turn it properly. It will cost a bit more, but it will add more sound quality than any set of good speakers/amps ever will. Seriously.
3) Go buy a book on car audio equiptment/setup. There are some available and barnes and noble for like 15 bucks, and will help you get way better sounding stuff for way cheaper.

just do this.......
go to your local car audio store, pick out the correct size front/rear speakers..they'll know what size if you don't.., a good Head-Unit, and find a sub/box/amp. they should be able to help you pick out and install the equipment.

(there is no need for an amp to power the front/rear speakers)

I suggest Pioneer/Premier Audio, Memphis Audio, JL Audio, or MTX Audio for the speakers/amps/subs.

Can't help with your stereo issues, but I would suggest working on your "Wizard of Oz" allusions; if you didn't include the "Oh My" part, I would never have thought of "Oz" in that context (actually, I still don't!). ;)

This is NOT a flame, but an INCREDIBLE simulation!
