Nothing. Global warming is a natural phenomenon which is being caused by an increase in the sun's output following several centuries of cooling caused by a reduction in the sun's output.

The relatively minor warming in over the last century directly correlates with an increase in the sun's output after a period of reduction in the sun's output known as the maunder minimum. That minimum period caused a cooling period on earth known as the "little ice age." These types of warming and cooling periods have been common over the last 10,000 years or so that make up the current interglacial period on earth. Even with this minor cooling, the earth is still in an ice age and has been for the last 40 million years, so the earth is still cooler than "normal."

Recycle, recycle and recycle. Go work for the Forest Service and plant trees. If you live on land, plant your own trees. You can contact Arbor Day and they will give you free trees. There is a web site where you can get free trees from disabled people, you just pay for shipping, freetreesandplants.org. Go see Tesla Motors for Electric Cars. Wear organic clothing, eat organic food, use organic products. For every organic product you eat, you are keeping tons of chemial fertalizers and pesticides out of the land and water. Take a walk and pick up trash. eat at restaurants that don't use paper or styrafoam to serve their food. Walk to work or school instead of driving. When you go somewhere, take a few friends that need a ride and save the gas. There are so many things that YOU can do, there isn't enough room here to tell you. Go to Google and search on greening your life. And thanks for asking.

You can find out just how much you impact the environment by actually putting in your activities such as driving, flying, electricity/gas use, etc into an environmental footprint calculator. There is a good one hosted by Business Objects and Zerofootprint at:

http://insight.businessobjects.com/challenge?extcmp=07q3_insight_ya_0821

You can save your results as well as pledge to make certain changes that will reduce your footprint.

the fact remains global warming is happening on such a minute scale it's insignificant. instead of trying to stop global warming, instead try to stop something that we KNOW (through complete) evidence is real, like pollution.

people are going to give me thumbs down i know, because they're going to say "no, i heard that it was DEFINITELY real on tv. i don't know why it's real, but because they said so i believe it too." so i don't care if they give me thumbs downs.

The most important thing you can do is to support political action to replace fossil-fuel power plants with nuclear power and renewable energy sources.

Nothing. It's too late. If you just recycled more last week, we could have done something. But now it's too late.

We're DOOMED!!! And it's all your fault!
