Didn't say what type of fishing you like to do. Freshwater fishing you can't go past Tasmania and my favourite place every easter is fraser Island in Queensland catching the big trevallies. Go to fishingaustralia.com.au it has everything you need to know. Happy angling

Australia has 20,000km of coastline, thousands of kilometres of rivers and hundreds of lakes - all of which contain fish. There is good fishing anywhere on the coast, trout fishing in Tasmania, NSW and Victoria and other fresh water fishing in all States and territories.

Unless you want a specific type of fish only found in certain areas, pick the places you want to visit in Australia for other reasons and then find out about the local fishing. There is plenty of organised fishing everywhere.
