my legs are hurting after doing squats yesterday, when should i next go the gym to work on my legs

you can do some light cardio today and stretch thoroughly for 20 minutes after. if you are using heavy weights to train the legs then give them 3 days between sessions. the intensity of training pretty much dictates the frequency of training. the lower the intensity the more frequent the training can be performed on a muscle

you should also do some light cardio for 15 minutes after leg training and stretch for about 15 minutes after that

2--4 days later. Depends on how sore ur legs are.

Muscles need time to get repaired and stronger. Excersice during that recovering period does more harm than good.

When your working out your muscles your generally want to give them at least 48 hours of rest before you work them out again. So if you worked out Monday the soonest you want to work out again is Wednesday. That being said if your muscles are still sore you should hold off on working out because that's a sign they are still rebuilding.
