The same reason some women have a lot of guy friends. Some men feel more comfortable with having female friends than male friends, just like some women feel more comfortable having guy friends than female ones. People will gravitate towards others that make them feel comfortable and those who will be more accepting of them. Maybe he was more accepted by women and has maintained his female friends through the years. The best possible way to know the truth is to ask him. Just because a person has graduated from college and started a family doesn't necessarily mean they have to completely change their life and friends.

There are numerous guys who have female friends for several reasons. No.1 being that the females are always around. Some people think men are always on the prowl when in fact a female will become a mans friend if she can't have him for her man. Females have a tenancy to settle for a friendship even if she can't get what she wants. It is mainly called False Hope. No.2 There are men who just enjoy having women around for a friendship or more. There is only way to know for sure why one guy enjoys female friends and that is to just ask. One guy can not speak for all.

I think that it is just natural for men to have many female friends
and should not be branded as gay or a flirt. It is the just the reverse of a woman having many male friends. It can be
construed that a man gets along very well with female
friends and not so with male friends since he feels that
he is more at ease and can easily make rapport and
at the same time get opinions and advice more logical

This does not mean that this person is gay or bi. Some men find it comforting and easier to hang out with women than men. Some men are not so macho and like to take things alittle more easy. Some men also just like the company of women. Growing up around women especially those who are dominant may also be a factor.

First things first. Having sex or not is your choice but deciding to do so does not make you a whore. If the two of you are talking until 2am then he is already interested in you. Make a suggestion to him that the two of you could do something alone together. It doesn't get any more obvious than that without saying I like you and want to go out with you.

In my most recent experience, it was okay at first. then the b/f used his line 'i have a lot of female friends' when i found all kinds of pics he looked at on myspace in the recent documents. That led to me finding more, and more...he was unfaithful to an extent (met a girl at an IHOP he met online). I would say guys like that like to be in a relationship but keep 'options' on the side just in case. as soon as things in the relationship aren't new anymore...watch out!

I don't know, that is kinda wierd. You would think that the wife would be kinda upset about something like that. Usually what I have observed about these types of men are that they are either gay or can't get a girl to move past the friends stage to be his girlfriend. All I know is that is a big red flag!!!

Maybe he just prefers the company of women, i dont see how thats gay, its probably the straitest thing you can do. Maybe the female attention makes him feel better about himself. I dont understand why women think i guy cant have female friends without wanting to get in their pants, why cant a guy just wanna hang with chicks?

Various cases. And I mean very various! Either very social or very famous or very "talented" (you know what I mean ;-) ) or just gay! Many female are attracted to people that seem not being able to hurt them. A male gay would never hurt a female as he would never be in a sexual/loving relation with them.

Depends on if his girl friends are "new" friends or ones that he has had for awhile and keeps in touch with. If he is making all new girl friends I would be concerned that he was going outside the relationship for kudos from other women.
