If you're a critical thinker, it's one of the hardest to get into.

The church isn't for the saved it's for the sinner. Praise Jesus for that. Otherwise no one would be allowed through the door. In response to your quote about background checks, if you volunteer at my church you will undergo a background check before you are allowed to work with children. It's just the way it goes. LOL at delusion. Anyway.

Which way of thinking is more delusional – (1) to never allow people a chance to become better members of society and therefore they continue committing these destructive crimes (2) to show them that there is a Higher Power (G-d) who cares for them. Letting people know that there is more to life, than the here and now. That one day they will die and will be Judged by G-d, according to their thoughts, words, and deeds. I personally know people who’ve turned their life around, they are no longer committing crimes against society. They’ve not only become Christians, but are better parents.
I guess this sort of action would be considered by some, to be “a horrible thing”; I mean they have stopped being a menace to society and are now productive members. All because someone took the time to talk to them about what G-d did for them and how they are special to Him. So, special that Jesus the Christ took upon Himself all their wrongs, placed them on the cross, and was raised again for them to be forgiven of these sins. A person took time out of their busy life to visit them in jail or prison and tell them they are capable of changing their lifestyle.
Told them that there is more to life than the ‘here and now’ and gave them to opportunity to reach for bigger and better dreams; than committing that next crime. Someone actually took the time to inform this person, that there is an eternal life and they can have that eternity within the Presence of G-d. Instead of spending their days on this planet, in jail or prison and their eternity separated from love, joy and peace.
I for one, thank G-d that these people have been given the opportunity, to learn that there is a G-d and He cares very deeply about them now and for eternity. If this is a delusion, than so be it. I’d rather live in a delusion, in which I care for and pray that these “criminals” have the strength to give up that lifestyle. Than be stuck in the world, which doesn’t care and never gives; individuals hope for their future. The world of nonbelievers can give up on people, but I never will. It is not our place to say that others can’t believe in the saving Grace that G-d offers freely to all. If this faith allows a former criminal the opportunity to change his or her way of life, let them have that trust in G-d. It is their life belief, and they are the ones trusting in G-d for their eternal future; not yours.

Hard question to answer. Membership costs you EVERYTHING... but you gain EVERYTHING once you join. To truly join christianity requires a complete denial of self righteousness and an embracing of the humility of a sinner in need of a savior. Anyone can join, and we are desperate to see as many join as possible because those who don't will have to rely on themselves to get out of hell... and that won't happen. We are desperate because we love.

No. It's much easier to be a non-Christian because then you'd have no rules or morals you have to live by. You could just do whatever you want. But that isn't what Christianity is about either (the rules). It's about being forgiven. Period. We're all sinners. But Christians are the ones who are granted forgiveness. Yes, there is a background check. God knows all about YOU! But does He forgive you of your sinful past, or does He hold it against you? That is a question for you.

You might get in the Club, but if you want to become a member of the Family, it will cost you everything you have, even though it is completely free.

You only have to *say* that you believe. You don't have to change your behaviour in any way except to say that you believe. Anything reprehensible you do since you were "born again" you say that you were trying your best to live your life by God's laws.
(I'm speaking of the small-c christianity club, not the big-C Christianity religion.)

Yes it is. You have to do 3 things:
1) Believe
2) Trust
3) Obey
Not really hard is it. And when you can't pull one of those three listed above off, your fall back is Mercy. Sounds easy, its not, but when you can't do anything or you feel like giving up, then you play the trump card... Faith!
Try it for yourself. You can email me if you want to discuss this more.

Biblical Christianity is not a club. It is a body of believers whom Christ has saved from their sins. Biblical Christians believe that a person becomes saved by faith in Christ, not of works or good deeds. Therefore, any person who believes and puts his hope in Christ may become saved.
"Salvation is a gift of God, not of man, lest any one should boast."
Saying that Christianity is a club is both ignorant and incorrect.
You are correct, however, that any one regardless of their background can be accepted by Christ. But, this does not disregard their responsobility and due punishment for their actions.
Yes, even a murderer can be saved and partake in Christ's mercy. You should be thankful for this, because if Christ can save a murderer, how much more is he able to save you!

Actually, depending on the church, it could take up to a year for you to be allowed in. We accept the tired, the poor, and the huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
You must pay your debt to society on earth, but if you ask for forgiveness because you mean it, you will be forgiven by God and you shall enter His kingdom.

Somewhat correct,
1. It's not a delusion.
2. God will forgive all sins except self-murder. He loves us too much to judge us. He came into this world not to condemn us, but that through him we all can be saved.
Atheists seem so hateful. Is this the way you spread your message?
