Not really, when you become a christian there are things that you will feel there is no longer a need for. Cussing is something that will go like any other bad habit. Cussing will offend the ears of a follower of Christ because it is not of God. The stronger you become in the word of god, you shall become more sensitive to worldly behavior and shall seek self-improvement.

As a christian, we should not cuss. When God saves you, He changes you. You no longer have the desire to talk, dress, and like you once did. However, even a christian can backslide and draw cold from God. As long as we have these sinful bodies, we will be tempted by Satan. If a christian"s heart is right, and truly walking close to God, they will not be walking around cussing. They will want to tell others about Jesus, and things that uplift His name.

MY question is this... Who defines the cuss word. If you look into the history of most modern "cuss words" then you find they are rather harmless. then it comes down to the matter of "Offensive" language and that is rated on individuals sensitivity. So I would say you should not "curse" someone but "foul" or "offensive" language is not specifically band by the bible.

The question is not "can they" but "do they". And the answer is yes, they do. But what does it matter? It may hurt some people who might get offended, but is that a bigger sin than any other sin? No. A sin is a sin, even if there are degrees of evil. You might as well ask, "can Christians lust?" or "can Christians covet? or lie?"...etc. YES! They do everything that non-Christians do, just hopefully less and less as time goes by. But the difference, then, is that Christians (true Christians) are forgiven.

We're not supposed to, but if you think about it, we Christians might cuss the most! I think it's the fact that we have that rule that makes us want to curse so much... I usually say "God" a lot, too, even though we shouldn't use His name in vain. It's a really bad habit, lol! I guess that the only Christians who follow that rule nowadays are pretty die-hard ones. Ah, well...

It's not polite for anyone to cuss. However, EVERYONE does. Even Christians. I cuss and I am a Christian. I would never hold foul language against anyone regardless of thier religion. We are all human and get angry.

So "cussing" is actually slang for "cursing." And Christians uttering curses instead of blessings is a no-no. So it's a mixed answer...we shouldn't be saying "Da__ you, him, etc..." because, well, that' pretty sure a curse. But isn't it also a curse to say, "I hope he gets what's coming to him?" Shouldn't we instead all be hoping to get better than we deserve?
No, I don't think it's that big a deal to say "Well, sh__" when you step in it (LOL) but I also know that if it "causes my brother to fall," I have not lived up to my obligations.
I think when Christians focus on doing what we are called to do, treating people the way we are instructed to, rather than all the "no's," the "no's" will take care of themselves.
Do we have time to argue that we shouldn't say, "I need to get off my dead a-- and get on my knees, seek God's will in my life, and open myself up for Him to use me to serve others?" when that's just what we need to be doing? I say we to include myself in this...we the church need to get off our collective dead a---s, get down on our knees, and get out into our community to serve our fellows.

don't be silly. anyone can cuss. it's as easy as saying "**** you". it's not like calling your self a Christian makes you not be able to pro nonce certain syllables or something. the thing is most peolpe just think that Christians shouldn't cuss. like it's a morlal issue or something.

Most people make their own rules of what they want to do, and not follow the rules of what their supposed to do....
