I live in Bilston,Wolverhampton and am considering going back to work but am very worried about where I leave my son,I really dont trust places as I dont think much of CRB's as I think they dont mean alot anymore with paedophiles slipping through the them undetected. Could any suggest a relaible place that is safe and somewhere I can trust near where I live. My son is 11months old.

Go in and take a tour and your motherly instinsts will guide you. Always trust your first instinct. If everything is ok then you will see behavior that will notify you. If your child cries when you drop him off AND when you pick him up, something is not right. Its normal for them to cry every now and then when they are dropped off. Good Luck!!!

how about getting a Nanny? you can interview until you find the right fit, and they are in your home (you can set up a nanny cam). I know trusting the care of your child to someone else is nerve racking, but just do the best you can to find the best care.

I am a nanny myself, and the chidl just gets better care than in a day care, not to mention it is constantly all about the child; not him and OTHER children. A nanny will become an important part of you and your child's life and your child will have the very best care if you choose the right nanny.

If its safety you want, and comfort for your son, invest in a well referenced nanny.

The money you spend will be worth it for the rest you'll have knowing he's home and cared for by someone who has HIS best interest in mind, and can act like mom in your stead.

Personally, I would NEVER send my child out of the home for childcare. I'd have to work and make enough for a nanny. I used to nanny and I know the caliber of people who do. Day cares, private or commercial are just breeding grounds for sickness and sick people.

contact your local "parents direct" (info in phone book, or on line or at library). they can give you a list of nurseries and childminders in your area. ask around and get a personal recommendation. A baby of your age would be best at a childminders home environment, they are regularly checked, are usually qualified and have tough new guidelines to adhere to. Good luck.
