If you have a BPS ( Bass Pro Shop) or a Cabela's take them there. I know BPS has rod and reel repair. A lot will depend on what kind of repair the rod needs weather it is worth it or not.
Other than that like all others have stated ask at your local bait shop. Oh also try Dicks for reference if you have one near you.
Never know tho what you might find out by asking at Wally Worlds Sports counter.....IF there is some one with some sporting smarts working the counter.
If your reel is one of the major brands check their web page, for repair work.
Good Luck

Where do you live? All these places are good. And it depends on the manufacturer and whats broken.
I have some Berkley rods that were very inexpensive. If they were to break I might take them to walmart and exchange it for one that isn't broken. Walmart is usually pretty good about it. Make sure they sell the model before you go there.
The better rods, like G. Loomis When I break one of those I package it up and send it to G.Loomis. They repair or replace them for a minimal charge.(like shipping and handling). The big sporting goods stores like Gander Mountain usually have some type of repair shop. Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas, I'm not sure about Academy. We have a store in the Cleveland area called "The Rodmaker's Shoppe" They repair rods and reels. Look for stores like that in your area.

If I were you I would look up the Manufacturer on the Internet. Most of the Biggest n
"Name Brand " Rod & Reel makers repair their own products. In addition, If they don't ,they always list a complete list of Authorized Repair stations or facilities for their products throughout the United States, on a state by state basis. Good Luck!

hi it all depends on type of rod and how old it is as to if they still make the blanks as they go out of date about every six months to a year so the manufacturers tell you . you can get other blanks that will fit most rods if you don't mind having a different colour
your tackle shop should be able to find a blank to fit if you take it in
same with reels or they can send them away for repare .you could get in touch with the manufacturer via web site .hope that helps

I love Pflueger reels! I think they are very well made and fairly inexpensive, a good way for budget anglers to step up to the big time! I also go with Daiwa, Quantum, and Abu Garcia reels. As far as rods go I like Ugly Stiks as an "everyday, everyone can afford" rod. For my more technique specific better quality rods, I like Falcon, Fenwick, St. Croix, All Star, Shimano and Daiwa for their quality, toughness, and dependability. Much success to you!

check with the manufactorer of the reel, the can do it for a price, or check with your local sporting shop for their advice. depending on what is wrong with the rod, you can do it. i replaced all the eyes on the rods i needed to, it was about $20 for the parts and pieces, and a couple of hours on a crappy day. if the rod tip is broken, get a tip kit, tip and glue, less than 10 minutes it's done. if the rod itself is broken, get a new one.

When I broke the handle to my Shimano Sedona reel, I went to the Shimano web site. Then I clicked on repairs, then I clicked on location. There was a Shimano reel repairer five miles from my house.
