In response to my last question of why christians are bashed on this site. Half the answers dont make sense. First ? look how christians treat non christians. Well I believe if you are a true Christian you will serve other people and help each other. If you want my views on this type in christians? just wanted to clear up a few things then respond. You can say that about christians as well as non christians on how they treat each other you cant pick them out and just accuse them without accusing everyone. 2nd answer was you people try to shove everything down my throat. Seriously how many christians have come up to you and tried to convert you personally not what you have heard from society. I have never had anyone do this to me before i was a non christian. Not saying there arent some out there but as a true christian i bring the idea up to you if its not for you its your own free will to believe what you will.

The whole thing with at least we have a moral standard was not taken in the CONTEXT OF CHRISTIANS. IT WAS MEANT FOR EVERYONE WHO BASHES ALL RELIGIONS NOT JUST CHRISTIANS SO TO SAY THATS WHY MAKES NO SENSE. BECAUSE MY LAST COMMENT WAS FOR PEOPLE ON HERE THAT BASH MUSLIMS, JEWS, CHRISTIANS, and ETC..... SAYING THAT AT LEAST ANYONE OF THE PEOPLE FROM ANY OF THESE RELIGIONS HAVE MORAL STANDARDS. IT WAS MEANT FOR PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW NOTHING.

People will always attack the majority.

Plus Christianity is wrong and needs to go away.

Most Atheists attack Christians because Christianity is the dominant religious force in the United States, and because Christianity, as a whole, has a history of repressing intellectual, technological, and societal progression. Christianity is also attacked for fear of the formation of a theocratic state. There is a persistent, and logical idea in the mind of everyone who isn't part of the Christian majority, that Christians with their influence in politics and the structure of the country will contort the constitution to be more in line with their view of the world. That Christians will attack people who don't believe similarly physically, financially, or otherwise. For example, let's take a quote from the father of our current President, and former President of the United States George Herbert Walker Bush, "No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God." Now, this clearly illustrates that when in power, some Christians would prefer to neglect the rights of citizenship to people who do not follow their faith. Not all, of course, but some, and there is a religious lobbying group pushing for just this sort of talk and thinking in Washington.
Back to the technology, science and progression bit. By denying scientific understanding in favor of traditional sacred text, we rob ourselves of the opportunity to explore deeper, and understand the true nature of the universe. Even if the Christian ideology is right, further study will prove that--and elected officials more concerned with getting votes than getting accurate information to the people would do all in their power to hinder anything that seems un-Christian at the time.
Finally, I don't think it's right to attack and enrage Christians for these reasons. I believe that with enough pacifism, understanding and education we will all come to an accord, Christianity will adapt to science, and we can progress together as a cohesive people, a society in which faith plays no role in government, and no role in social situations apart from Church. I think that attacking Christians invites the sort of retaliatory behavior and lobbying that we've been seeing in the past, and by being passive and sharing what we know, those who are not Christian can better serve others who are not, and those who are.

You generally can't tell a Christian from a non-Christian by their behavior. You guys are forgiven, right? A lot of Christians take that to mean they get a free pass to do whatever they want, foolishly neglecting that actions have consequences in the here and now, even if they don't later.

Just within the last 2 days, two different random Christians approached me in the form of PM here. You might not be the obnoxious type that does that sort of thing, but there are plenty of them out there.

My answer is not right, it is not wrong, it is my OPINION, and if i offend anybody, I apologize.

Christians are attacked because we are hypocrites. I am a faithful Christian who cringes everytime I see another Christian thump their Bible. Just like the Jews who followed Jesus around and scrutinized everything He did, we (Christians) are doing the same thing now! We (Christians) are constantly pointing fingers at one-another, and pointing out how bad we are. So as long as Christians keep pointing fingers, we will be attacked. Who is so perfect, that he can cast the first stone at somebody?

I don't attack Christians. Anyone can believe anything they want to as long as they don't try to shove it down my throat. When they do, I have the right to clearly point out with great accuracy and backed by verifiable facts, that what they are trying to sell me is a 2000 year old myth, with no basis in reality, that has been used repeatedly to enslave, dehumanize, and swindle my fellow man.
Have a gratefully real day.

Gosh do you think it might have anything to do with you attacking them? I suggest you look in the mirror. When you come on here attacking all non christians saying they are without morals and don't believe in anything what do you expect? You sir, set a bad example for the majority of christians who are decent caring people. By setting such a poor example yourself you merely encourage the attacks you describe.

Here we go with the "true christian" thing again. Who is it that decides who the "true christians" are? It seems it's any christian that doesn't agree with you.

I have many Atheist friends that have impeccable morals. Morals do not stem from religious beliefs, though some peoples morals may be based in part on their religious beliefs.

They are just proving Jesus' words in John 15

“Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also."

"And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." - John 3
