I have it in my kitchen and really love it. It's hard and doesn't show water rings like marble might. It's cool and I use the counter top for rolling out pastry dough because it stays cool. It will add a lot of value to your house and it looks really rich.
Also it's very hard so doesn't really scratch and no cigarette burns either...lol
Hope you enjoy it.

Yes for many reasons. People do expect either granite or corian kitchens these days. New home builders used to offer stones as an option but are now offering them as standard. There are,of course, different levels of granite for you to choose from. Just be sure to choose a slab and not granite tiles.

In this market, it is worth it! It really adds value to the house. In our market, homes with granite counter tops will sell in less time than those with other surfaces and will sell for more. Plus, having them myself, it is worth the convenience of being able to take things right from the stove and oven to the counter top. I think they are much easier to maintain than tile, look better than formica or corian and add beauty and warmth to the kitchen.

I hear is it 100% return on your investment for high quality countertops in Kitchen.
Check with local real estate estimators and brokers, they can tell you what buyers are asking for with countertops and the if granite countertops drive up the asking price for a house and if buyers are wanting granite.

I say go for it..........
