of course and i still cry when i see the photos i took years ago of them at that time, its wonderful! I cry at every accomplishment they do, but I try not to let them see that, they are adults and the neatest woman I know, cry away and try to smile during it, you deserve it, as being a parent is the coolest thing in the world!

Yes, I did when I to leave my 5 year old to the kindergarten orientation with the other pre-kindergarteners and the orientation was only for 1 hour. I couldn't stop feeling that my baby girl is growing up and all that.
Now I will even more so coz I will have to see my precious princess off at the bus stop. Even though I work full time and she is at day care every day, I know that I will cry on her first day of school. It will be a milestone in my as well as my baby girl's life.

Yes!! I have 3 children and I cried with each one of them when they started kinder-garden. I even cried when my daughter started preschool! It made me feel better when she saw me looking in again and she told me to go now, she had work to do! Its just the feeling of leaving them and knowing that they are growing up and soon they will not need you as much anymore. I always cried from the time I walked out their classroom all the way home! I know I'm going to be crying in a week when my son starts middle school. Its a big step and I don't want harm to come to him physically, verbally or mentally! Then the feeling that he is a step closer to not be needing me or wanting me around, unless its for money!

I have been through this twice and one more to go and yup I cried both times when the boys got on the bus for the first time to go to school. I was a little teary eyed when we were on the bus for kindergarten orientation!!! I am looking around like am I the onlyone....and no I wasn't. It is gonna be way more hard with my proncess..b/c she will have had 5 years alone with me at home before she goes to school..so that is gonna hit me really hard. Plus she is my only girl.......well..good luck and keep your chin up!

like a baby!!!! the worse part is i continued to cry for about 7 months after. it was so hard, and still is. now he's about to start high school, and i feel the same way all over again. i wish i could home school him, but as a single mom, i have to work. if you have cried or will cry, i hope it's not as difficult.

Well mine hasn't made it to actual school yet, but they do go to daycare. I remember the first day my children were in shock and didn't really understand enough to cry. I was talking to their teacher and I broke down crying saying this was going to be hard on them. I walked out sobbing, got into the car and called my mother in hysterics.

Yes I did. It was a milestone for him. Now he is going in the 4th grade and I will probably cry when I take him that day too.
