I worked for an office manager who was very manipulative and would send out baseless sexual harrassment warning letters to all of the female employees as a way to intimidate us.

I am an English teacher, so I was giving my class to teenagers just like every other day, and I noticed they didn't stop giggling, this lasted 7 or 10 minutes until a student told me to pull up my zipper. It has been one of the most embarrassing moments at work. jeje

A couple weeks ago I overheard a lady that I work with commenting on what a bad mom I am because I work instead of stay home with the kids..It really upset me, but I'm over it. This lady is in her 40's with no kids of her own and I know she is probably just miserable in her own life.

Getting a brand new manager with no experience is the kiss of death. During reviews, they don't have clout or political capital to earn reasonable ratings for their employees. Watch as about half of the team disappears within a year.
A new manager with no experience also tends to mismanage by listening to their friends instead of getting to the truth of a situation. They don't know how to advocate for their employees and stand up to their manager.
An inexperienced manager is a dire situation.

I got written up AND put on probation b/c of my new boss who was also younger and less experienced. I had been at that job 3 1/2 years and was accused of failing to follow directions and "questioning" my boss. Well...I was asking questions to help HER!!
Needless to say I am making more at a better, cooler job now.
