I EAT ALL THE THINGS LISTED ABOVE EXCEPT WINE AND I AM NOT BOTHERED WITH IT. PLEASE ASK YOUR DR. DRUG ALLERGIES AND FOOD ALLERGIES MAY BE DIFFERENT!
What kind of reaction did you have, Pat?
I had Stephens-Johnson Syndrome last time I took Sulfur and the doctor said if I took it again it could easily kill me.

I am allergic to sulfur. I have never had a problem with food but alcohol is our enemy.
One sip of wine can send me to the ER. The best thing to do is read every label from every bottle of every type that you might want to drink.
Food, I haven't thought of it in food but if you google it you may find out you are safe or find a way to be safe.
Also, make sure you tell the doctor every time you will be getting a prescription so you don't have a problem.

Do you mean sulfa? There is a difference, you know.
Many people report an allergy to a "sulfur" drug when they go to the doctor. But what does this mean? Usually, a person means that they have experienced an adverse effect from a sulfa-containing antibiotic, such as Bactrim. However, it may mean something much different.
Sulfa medications come in 2 types, antibiotics (such as Bactrim) and non-antibiotics (such as Celebrex). This is usually the medications that people are referring to when they say they have a "sulfur allergy".
Sulfites are preservatives in foods and medications, and not related to sulfa drugs.
Sulfates are "salts" of various medications, such as albuterol sulfate nebulizer medication used to treat asthma. These medications usually do not contain sulfa or sulfites.
How do you tell the difference? What about sulfites and sulfates? It turns out that these three terms are quite different, and that a person who has experienced a reaction to one does not necessarily need to avoid the others.

one I can think of off the top of my head- dried fruit (like apricots). You can find the non-sulfur ones in health food stores- but the kind you find at the grocery store is sulfured to stay soft and fresh.
I did a google search on "foods containing sulphur" and I found a couple of good links for you

Molassis may have sulfur in it and that would be listed as an ingredient.
If you are allergic to all forms of sulfur (sulfites, etc.)
http://www.diagnose-me.com/cond/C488839.html
then you have a much greater problem because they appear in most cured meats including bacon, hot dogs, ham, etc.

It's quite impossible to be allergic to sulfur. Perhaps you mean sulfa? That's short for sulfanilamide. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble if you clear this up.

elemental sulphur is not a common constituent in most foods, even in trace amounts. but it is a constituent of proteins and other biomolecules that you obtain from food and require in trace amounts in your diet to sustain your health. also, lots of food additives contain sulphurous compounds as preservatives, so avoid smoked foods where these compounds are used in greater amounts.
