I totally agree with everything you just said.
Except for the left nut portion.
It would have to be my labia...

Yep... you're missing something. Most of them keep their mouths shut about their actual objectives... but occasionally, a blabbermouth gets out of control:
“My responsibility is to follow the Scriptures which call upon us to occupy the land until Jesus returns.” ~ James Watt, Former (US) Secretary of Interior, Washington Post, May 24, 1981
“We don't have to protect the environment, the Second Coming is at hand.” ~ James Watt, Former (US) Secretary of Interior, Washington Post, May 24, 1981
"I don't know how many future generations we can count on until the Lord returns." ~ James Watt, Former (US) Secretary of Interior, to a Congressional committee in 1981, quoted from "A Brief History of the Apocalypse"
Christian 'dominionists' are involved in a sub-rosa scheme to overturn the constitution of the US and turn it into a theocracy. They think that this is necessary in order to establish the necessary conditions for the return of Jesus and the subsequent destruction of this world. They are not concerned about the environment, because they think that Jesus is going to create a new one for them. They are not concerned with the devastating national debt because they do not think that anybody will be around to collect.
If ever there was a clear and present danger to the USA and humanity in general, it is NOT an external threat from Islamic terrorists... it is an INTERNAL threat from the Christian Taliban... 'dominionists'. Now... imagine a US legal system based on OT biblical law... and imagine the Christian dominionists who are running believe that they are doing the "Lord's Work" in initiating the final battle between good and evil... imagine the 'Christian Taliban'... with nukes.
Guess what? It's working. Be afraid... be VERY afraid.

I don't think conservatives want to destroy the earth. They just lie under the impression that we're not, so there's no use tripping all over ourselves.
I don't agree, by the way. But I don't know if you happen to know of a particular right-wing nutjob called "Ann Colteur?" She said that since God gave us the earth we could rape it and do what we will with it. But she's nuts.

Protecting the environment is a good pursuit. However, in this world of politics and dogma, radical groups yell and dance and beat the drums much to loud about protecting mother earth.
Themes like "kill the unborn and save the whale" don't play well in my book.
Moderation on the subject and pursuit of protecting the environment would be a welcome relief.
And I'm "nut kidding."

ALL the conservative Christians I know are concerned about the environment. We aren't, however, fanatics about it. We do what we can regarding recycling and some drive hybrid vehicles.
In fact, most do more for the environment than Mr. Green himself, Algore, who scoots around in private jets, adding tons and tons of carbon into the atmosphere. Don't you think he should practice what he preaches????

Were are not saying you should not conserve and keep the earth clean. We are just saying stop wasting all our tax dollars trying to make dirt cleaner than GOD did.

The Vatican has added its voice to warnings from churches around the world that climate change and abuse of the environment is against God's will.
At a Vatican conference on climate change, Pope Benedict XVI urged bishops, scientists and politicians to "respect Creation" while "focusing on the needs of sustainable development".

Because religion is based on mutual fear, the fear of death. So their con-artist leaders have created life after death fantasies. And since they are just waiting to die and go to magical heaven, why would they care about god's creation. Which is why it is up to us godless heathens to protect creation.

I do not know any Christians who are not in favor of being good stewards of God's beautiful creation, so I have no idea what you're talking about.

I've had Christians tell me that The Rapture will happen when all natural resources are used, so they're using them as quickly as possible.
