That would have to be my Gewehr-43 that my grandpa stole from the Third Reich back in '45.

Guns aren't dangerous, people are. There are different types of power and there are trade offs. There are some handguns that are practically cannons, recoil is too powerful for any serious use though. Same with shotguns, they used to go all the way down to 4 gauge (illegal now) but can you control something that fires a slug that weighs half as much as you do? No. 12 gauge is popular not because of power alone. It has decent power, OKI control and doesn't weigh too much. I recommend a pump action shotgun such as the Mossberg 500 or the Remington 870. Pump action is good because just the sound of it makes people poop their pants. Get you a Mossy 500 for 100 bucks and a dozen rounds of 00 buckshot and your ready to go.

My favorite rifle is my M1 Garand, it is a military firearm and 98% condition--beautiful (for that sort of weapon). My favorite shotgun is a Winchester 42 Skeet Grad .410 shotgun that belonged to my father--95+%. My favorite handgun is .32 caliber revolver that my father-in-law brought back from WWII. It is quite small, chrome plated, black powder proofed, with a folding trigger and octagonal barrel. Not a number or manufacturers mark on it. It was probably made in Belgium by a gunsmith turning out one gun at a time by hand. Such wonderful craftsmanship.
