here's the thing:

The people who do are the ones that wind up refusing it. Why? Because they found out for themselves.

The people who refuse to do research continue to blindly believe in something as common as a fairy tale.

Cheers.

I have a copy of the Bible dated 1267 A.D. It is the exact same thing as a King James Bible I have that was printed recently. Some words are different but maintain the same meaning. There are over 5 thousand copies of the New Testament written and all are identical dating back to before 500 A.D. The Dead Sea Scrolls have documents which date back to 1st century B.C. which are identical to the Old Testament. If you want proof just look it up. Go to a library.

There are a couple of good books, one is called "How We Got Our Bible" and the other is Halley's Pocket Bible Handbook. I was curious about it, too. It's not an easy process, it takes some tracking. But it is amazing how it all came to be.

4 - 5 % of people.

Assuming you mean really researched, not just read a book by a Christian and assumed the author had done all the research.
