ok, i never use the broiler. I just thought that the broiler was the top heating element, and then you put your food in the oven...but recently i noticed the bottom of the stove where the broiler pan was. Is that where the foods supposed to go, near the floor practically? this is a gas stove.

In a gas stove, the broiler is at the bottom with flame directly over it. Above this, there's a pull-down door which opens down toward you. At the very top of the stove are your burners for boiling, steaming, frying. In an electric stove the broiler is in the oven. The third variation is a cooktop with burners/elements (or coils) separate from the rest, usually found on a counter or island. In this case, roasting/baking/broiling are done in a built-in (usually on the wall). In many cases, there are 2 ovens/broilers, one over the other.

If there is a separate burner in the top of the stove that is the broiler. If there is only one burner as is the case for some gas stoves, then the broiler is the drawer beneath the oven.

I had an old gas stove like that, and yes the broiler is almost on the floor. It takes advantage of using the same heating source as the oven, you are just using it from the bottom instead of the top (which heats the oven). I loved my old stove and wish I had one like that again!

Yes, your broiler is at the bottom under the oven door right next to the floor, it will slide out just like a drawer.

Yes the bottom drawer is the broiler Drawer and should have a gas burner all over the top of it so you just need to place the food on the pan broil and put it to the bottom drawer to crisp and brown your food.

Where Is The Broiler

Yes at the bottom.
My dictionary says
Broil : to cook by direct heat
The oven flame is overhead and very close
compared to your oven where the heat is indirect
In the electric stove the element is in the overhead of the oven
and the toaster oven has elements both top and bottom.
