Yes.
When the Holy Spirit of God hovered over Mary, the virgin, God's power caused the egg within Mary to start growing without the aid of a man. Because of the way this miracle happened, Jesus is called the Son of God.
But, at the same time, because this self same Holy Spirit "infiltrated" this egg when it began it's miraculous start, and because the Holy Spirit is God, that means that this person, Jesus, is also God, because He had the fullness of the Holy Spirit from the very moment of inception.
Now, other than this, before Jesus ever came to earth in a body (we all have a body), the Spirit that made Jesus who he is (we all have a spirit) was God, making Jesus the incarnation of God in flesh.
This does NOT mean that God has always had a body.
This does NOT mean that Mary is the mother of God, as she is the mother of the BODY in which the SPIRIT of God indwelt.
As to how God is "Father", "Son", and "Holy Spirit", you know yourself that you live in a body that is not you. Otherwise, why do you think that after your body is dead and buried, you could "go" to some kind of paradise, unless there is something more to you than just the mere "body"?
We are tri-partite or tri-une beings.
By that, I mean, there is only one of you, there is only one of me. But, as I began pointing out already, I am more than just a body. I am also a soul, and a spirit. Likewise, YOU are more than just a mere physical body. You, likewise, are also a soul, and a spirit.
Do you see the 3-in-1 nature of Man?
Man was created in the very image of God. "Let us make man in our image and in our likeness", and since we can understand something about the Creator by looking at His creation, we can understand that God is tri-partite, or tri-une in nature, that is God is "3-in-1".
But note that God said, "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness". God, once again, was showing that He, while ONE God, is 3-in-1. Not 3 gods.
It is NOT 1+1+1 = 1
it is 1 x 1 x 1 = 1
Body, soul, spirit
length, width, height
solids (ice), liquids (water), gasses (steam)
past, present, future
All of these are examples of things that are tri-partite, or tri-une, or "3-in-1" in nature. God created these things so we could understand His own Nature to a small extent.

John's gospel begins with "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God." Chirst is often referred to as "the Word made flesh." So, for me, the answer is "both." Jesus Christ (the eternal King of Kings) is part of God and Jesus of Nazareth (the human being raised by Joseph and Mary) was the Son of God.

The bible teaches that he is the son of God. Some Christians believe in a trinity that he is co-equal with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It's not their fault, this belief based on pagan doctrine infiltrated the Chiristian faith after the death of the apostles, and persists to this day.
It is not taught in the bible, a few scriptures, like "God and I are one" refer to onenesss of purpose and thought. There are more scriptures to disprove that theory than are for it, but to try and relate that to a trinity person, is like trying to knock down a brick wall with a feather. I don't know how God is going to deal with these people because they are sincere in their beliefs.
Edit: Hey I like that 1x1x1=1. It doesn't make sense, but I like it. It only means I entity.

Being that Jesus is the human/visible form of God who is a Spirit and therefore invisible, that makes him God! (read Colossians 1:12-18)

In Christian theology there is One God existing in Three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Each of them is uncreated, self-existing, and in perfect union one with the other.
In John's Gospel we read:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being." John 1:1-3
The "Word" here is later explained to be Jesus Christ. Notice that as the Word He is both distinguished from God and equated with God, and that He is said to be involved in the Creation of the Universe as A Creator, not as a thing created.

It depends on your religious view. Those who believe in the trinity would say he is part of what makes up God. There are others who would say son of God. Other people would say he is both. There are those who would say neither he is just a prophet. Then there are those who say he was a nice Jewish boy who was well versed in the teachings of the Torah. Then there are those people who would say that he never existed. It's up to you to research and learn and determine your own beliefs, because we will never really know what the truth is.

I don't think Jesus ever claimed to be God., did he not often refer to God as my Father? this makes Him the son. Father-Son-Holy Spirit.
