Why did he make it look that we evolved from apes? Why did he make us so fragile and susceptible to disease? One thing is absolutely clear - He has a sick sense of humour.

God also neglected to tell the other animals, particularly the predators, that we're special & not just another form of prey. Big cats, tarantulas, sharks, snakes and so on would not distinguish between a human and a primate. They would be just as ready to kill and eat either. Apparently, God gave humans stewartship over the animals but he forgot to tell the animals. Strange.

We'd certainly pass for apes. If an intelligent extraterrestrial observer examined the species on Earth and built a taxonomy of the species here then he/she/it would certainly class us as a primate just as our poor mistaken scientists have already done. The extraterrestrials wouldn't have a theory of evolution to work with, just what they can observe in the present time.

It's as though God *wanted* us to look like animals. He even gave us the same biology as the mammals, the same hormones, the same neurotransmitters, the same skeletal structure, the same muscular alignment. Even our brains are the same as the more intelligent mammals although our brain to body relative mass is higher. God gave us the same nutritional needs, the same requirements for reproduction (ie: sex), the same method of giving birth, the same production of milk to wean our young. The list goes on & on. Why would God do that? Why would he go to such lengths to make us look & function like animals? Unless.....

We ARE animals. Christians have it wrong - we're not special among the creatures of the Earth. Maybe there's a God, maybe not but either way we are still animals. And that's ok, it's GOOD to be in the animal kingdom. What's wrong with that?

Suppose with me, and this is a large supposition, I know, that there is a God. Would he have really designed us specially to be the ultimate machine, and then made our young the most helpless creatures in all the world? Human babies are nonsensically helpless. No, if there were a rational being of a God, and he did design us then the following is why we were made this way: We need to have some weaknesses to rely on eachother and form communities. If we were the perfect hunting creature, society would make little sense. It stands to reason that if we were indeed created this way, and did not evolve from Apes, that God created Apes directly before creating us, decided they were pretty cool, and went from that template.
This is all a very big if, but still--if you're going to subtly play up atheism while insulting creationism, it's cool to have a reasonably solid understanding of the necessity of causality in evolutionary science before doing so.

There is no god, no soul, no afterlife. Hate to be the bringer of reality to ya, but that's it. The human body evolved to make the best possible use of its environment. Fragile, yes, but compared to what? Susceptible to disease? What organism isn't?

Do you accept that there is a God who created the heavens and the earth etc. If not, your question has no meaning.
If you believe in evolution & the survival of the fittest, one may equally ask why did we evolve into such a bad design, fragile, & suspectible etc.
You have to make up your mind & then rephrase the question.

We didn't evolve from apes. Evolutionists will tell you that genetically we are 98% the same as apes, however this figure seems to increase each time I hear it. But even that 2% difference is still a huge gulf.

Disease and frailty only came about as a result of Adam and Eve's sin.

God designed our bodies to be perfect. However, Adam and Eve chose to eat of tree and therefore, sin and death entered into our lives. Sin is the cause of sickness and death, not God. Those who are believers will receive a new and incorruptable body.

If you research the findings on DNA in the "monkey-like" creatures that have been found, you'll find that their DNA and ours Does Not Match! This has been published knowledge in science journals. However, the popular press doesn't want the average person to know this

Psalm 139:13-16
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Our present state and the fallen world are not perfect,
that is the whole point.
We don't know exactly how Adam and Eve's bodies were.
I don't think they had flaws or disease. We on the other had have to deal with a fallen state of being, but it's OK he's there to help if we simply just ask.

Because apparently being a spitting image of the average chimpanzee or gibbon, having a blind spot at the back of the eyes, a coxxyx, an appendix and wisdom teeth are all going to be useful for something eventually.

Since the christians basically claim that we are remade in a new body suited to heaven when we die though.... I have no bloody clue how we were supposed to do something with the ape-body in the meanwhile though.

What is wrong with you people. God made us perfect. God did not create aids and other disease. This is down to mans behaviour.

Hay, my body is not junk piece. It is perfect almost.
It works great and I don't look like an ape.
Look at football players and basketball and some women models. I mean what is wrong with their bodies?
We have been degenerateing for 6000 years. He only made Adam and Eve the rest are copies. You make two people with the ability to make copies and see how perfect they are still doing it 6000 years from now.
People drink take drugs get diseases from filthy life styles and then have sick babies and blame God.
They say, I have AIDS from sleeping around but why did God give my baby AIDS? Come on people start taking responsibiltiy for what you do.
