Beetles are often associated with things which are hidden in darkness and feed off of worldly things. Gold represents things which are heavenly or divine. By the beetle being gold it represents something which has an appearance of being a blessing or from God, but actually is a deception and not good.

I agree with Obi one. insects in general relate to something that is bugging you. the beetle relates to negative interferences in one's life. The fact that the beetle is gold representing goodness doesnt change that it is still a beetle and is being deceptive. Possibly something negative is bothering your sister and could be trying to cover it up with positive and not dealing with it.
