I have heard that expression, and I say if God is going to open a door for you, then He must have a reason. I have also said that if he closes a door, then you should use the window to take a look around, or to jump and see where you land. God Bless.

I think that if God were a being, and was in the habit of opening doors, and did not expressly inform you to go through the door, he would appreciate your uniqueness as he made you. I'd imagine that him being all-knowing and all-understanding, would have opened the door simply to give you the opportunity to crawl through the window, and I am most positive that the only repercussion would be a mild chuckle.

The actual saying is, God doesn't close the door without opening a window, so if it is open use it.

When it's the door is to a prison cell of blind obedience to absurd doctrine, a window may be the only safe escape. I'm happy to say that my beliefs are out the window.

Why would you take another path if God presents you with one.
The saying is, When God closes a door he opens a window.

God's will would be for you to take to door He has opened. By taking the window, you are defying God and not in His will.

You may have to squeeze yourself out. You could trip on the way out. You will almost certainly get odd looks from anyone who notices you doing it..... and....
... you could be on the 5th floor.
Plus it could be a bit difficult to get back in.
Windows weren't designed with human passage in mind.
