Not yet. Greenland has to warm up about 15 deg F to start grazing cattle there again.

Actually they mostly settled Iceland. They found the name deterred immigration, so the next land they discovered they called Greenland, even though it was covered in glaciers. They left a few cairns and things that showed they made it there, as they did in New England (Vineland). Iceland had a maritime climate and a lot of geothermal energy, and has supported a fair population since AD 1000. Greenland's ice is of course melting now, as is all the ice at both poles. The melting of the South Polar cap has not occurred in all of geologic time.

It isn't as hot in Greenland and it isn't as hot in England where they grew grapes and made wine that rivaled France and Italy's best during the same time. But whether the overall climate was wamer then or not, we don't really know.

With Algore and Johnny "My house is 400 times bigger than your house" Edwards emitting all that hot methane in their lecturing and pandering, the temperature is sure to go up soon.

It's gotten much hotter.

replying to jbtascam below, this is not the 'hockey stick' graph. This is 10 seperate temperature reconstructions which all show the Midieval Warm Period as much cooler than today. You can't deny the scientific data forever.

The Viking's farms are still under glaciers, so you'll have to tell us whether you can get them "cheap."

As for the dana's posted "response" - they're still using the "Hockey-Stick" graph, which was pure bunkum.
