Prayer is a conversation between you and God...there is really no right or wrong way. And it's not a matter of what works or doesn't work...you just need to keep praying for whatever it is you need, and you will receive God's blessings, but it will be in His time, not yours, so it may seem like your prayers are not "working". Just be patient and keep praying...God wants you to come to Him with your needs, but remember to always glorify Him when praying to Him, and to thank Him when your prayers are answered.

prayer is conversation with God and Christ. If you have a question, you want to draw near Him, your words will reflect that. But the idea of prayer is that you receive communication from God on your seeking Him. "Communication with the Spirit World of God - It's Laws and Purpose' by Johannes Greber (Amazon $12) a book that was out of print and is now found again. Will have more answers to that simple question than you could imagine. Very good book,

It helps the person who is doing the praying, as it makes them feel like they are doing something productive and altruistic.
It has no effect on those who are being prayed for... despite the odd study or two that gives the impression that prayer works. For every study that slightly indicates prayer has an effect, there are 10 that say it doesn't.

True prayer is SILENT. Be still and know I am God. God knows all needs before they are asked, so what is there to ask for except, "That The Will Be Done?

Generally a person looks for an empty room for silence, but to me you can pray under any situation.

Hi,
The best way is to ask it with Emotional Content.
With pure unadultirated Feelings and with Faith.
