it is the way to continue the species, of course.
beyond that it gives us close intimate contact with others. it is an esteem need, for a sense of self worth and belonging.
going through life without it is usually a choice based on religion or other social factors.

Its nature. If your male you know how it feels ! If your female, then you know how it feels to want to be needed. Its nature.
Procreation is another reason, thats nature.
If you ever see a person who is sad it is usually because they are lonely, the need for companionship will sometimes lead to sex -- almost like love i guess -- its nature. I'm not saying LOVE = SEX, I'm saying that naturally people seek others, and when it feels safe and warm with that person then sometimes sex will come out of it.

It is needed to reproduce obviously for the survival of the human race
Other then that it is Human nature it feels great...its like a drug to reach orgasim is like a high from drugs its an emotion everyone gets horny from time to time no matter who you are or what you do its wether you act on it or not...

We cannot live with out it. People without partners masturbate. Those who say they do not are liars. It feels good, brings us closer to our partner. It is also healthy. Plenty of studies show that people in a relationship with regular sexual activities are healthier and live longer.

I think it would be difficult for someone to live without it, unless it is a nun or priest. (and apparently some of them have problems too)
I would say there is no adult out there, happy to be a virgin or without sex unless they are a man or woman of G-d.

i dont know that either. thats a good question. maybe its cuz its a basic animal behavior..i dont see it as a NEED, more like a drive ingrained in us from nature to breed and reproduce.
