i want to get engaged on the beach and wrote a short poem but i dont know if it is ok or not. it is:
I love you as you can see,
we are perfect for each other dont you agree,
forever together its you and me,
being with you is the best way to be,
especialy sitting her by the sea,
about to kneel on one knee,
and ask you to marry me.
let me know if that is cheesie or not. thanks

Two thumbs up to you! It is not cheesy, it is beautiful because it came from your heart. It will be a great keepsake for your future children and grandchildren, but it will also be a great memory for you and your future wife.

You know, it is a little cheesy, but who cares? When you get to the beach, speak from your heart. If the poem comes out, then that's what you say. If all you say is, "I love you. Marry me." that's fine. You can read her the poem later. Either way, I sure she'll be very flattered that you went to such effort and will appreciate you romanticism. I would. Best wishes!

A little cheesy but I'd say it's OK, besides she will probably be more caught up in the question at the end that she won't think it's cheesy. Good luck.

Definitely a little corny, but it's so adorable. I'm sure she'd love it!!
However, I do agree with one of the other posters about not remembering the poem because of nerves. If you think you'll be able to put your nerves aside and remember the words then Go for it, it'll be cute!

It's cute, but if you're going to be on the beach, why not make use of the environment? Write "Will you marry me?" in shells or in the sand. :)
It is a little cheesy, in all honesty, but I'm sure she'd love it. :)

its a little cheesy, but that is what a proposal is about, right? Good luck- I am sure she will be crying and will for sure say yes!! Take your camera too!! You could write stuff in the sand too...

I think it's adorable. After the fact.. you can have the poem you wrote framed or specially plated as a gift for your wedding day.

Honey, you are going to be so nervous you won't remember the poem. Just speak from your heart. I think she will appreciate what you say from your heart more than a poem.
