Then it is only fair that Muslims change, otherwise no compromise will be reached, or are Muslims afraid of changing?

i am a Muslim and i do agree with you believe it or not...

Many muslims in the muslim world are far away from real islam.. so all these muslims need to change to become better muslims and to follow true Islam...

then you would see how the muslims really are... as they used to be when they were the leaders of this world for 100s of years, in terms of science, technology, literature, etc etc..

What do you mean by Muslims changing? Do you mean renouncing Islam and leaving Islam for Christianity because that will never happen. No true real Muslim would leave Islam just to satisfy the USA. Muslims speak out against terrorists all the time however the West and the media choose not to broadcast that because it doesn't make for "good news" so instead they spread lies about Islam and say that all Muslims are out to kill all the non Muslims which isn't true. Nowhere in the Qur'an or Hadiths does it say that Muslims are to kill non Muslims. We are taught to treat other religions with respect especially Jews and Christians. Most people in the West seem blind to the fact that only 1% of Muslims are terrorists. There are 1.7 billion Muslims in the world and terrorists are not Muslims because terrorism is against Islam. So no Muslims do not have to change in order for the West to change. The West needs to quit listening to the media and use their brains that God gave them and think before they start believing everything the media says about Muslims.

In the same way there is a tiny percentage of Christian who are willing to kill to push what is a political agenda, those claiming themselves as Muslims who would use the same methods are a tiny percentage of Muslims.
Think of this....
When a "Christian" right-to-life group bombs a free clinic that they believe to be offering abortions to unwed mothers, who gets injured or killed? Did Jesus preach "We will have peace by killing those that disagree with us!" No. He taught tolerance and acceptance.
People of all religions must not allow themselves to be manipulated by the politicains that use religion as a way to manipulate the people.
For any person or group to change another, the one attempting to change the other must change themselves. Sometimes the changes are an improvement. Sometimes they are not.

Come in peace, go in peace. Peace be with you at all times.

If we all learn to respect and tolerate then no one needs to change Muslims or the west.

Compromise? That sounds like a more reasonable idea. Unfortunately, they are fundamentialists. That means it can only be one way... THEIR way. No room for change or compromise.
