Okay, so I'm moving in with my boyfriend and his place is pretty dull. I really want to make it look great.......but we don't have alot of money. I have our bedroom, living room and kitchen to decorate and I'm running out of ideas! I have the bathrooms and our daughter's room completed. Are there any places I can go for cheap stuff but nice looking?

Second hand stores, Goodwill, Salvation army. I have decorated entire homes this way. It is fun and inexpensive.

nothing changes a room more dramatically and less expensively than paint.
the other thing is curtains. you can make your own even if you don't sew by getting inexpensive twin sheets from Walmart and some drapery clip rings. Gather the sheet into small pleats across the top and clip each pleat with a ring. Instant curtains! If the sheets are too long, just fold them over to the desired length before pleating and clipping and you will have built-in valances.
Thrift store finds can be painted a single color so even mismatched pieces will have a unified look.
To cozy up a place, use inexpensive area rugs, throw rugs, greenery or plants (fake or real), and lamps with soft light bulbs.
Best wishes and have fun!

You can do a lot for little. It's important to make sure you are choosing colors and pieces that look more expensive than they really are. Choose coordinating color schemes for the living, dining, and kitchen areas so they flow. Target is great for bedding, bath and kitchen. Linens n Things and Bed Bath & Beyond have 20% off coupons that are interchangeable and can be used even after expired. For furniture, shop around for sales in your area. Stay fairly neutral in color and don't oversize. Furniture looks smaller in giant showrooms so measure well and think even smaller.

Look at the high end stores for ideas and then buy those things at Lowe's hardware, Target and Walmart. The high end places have great ideas but you can really get that stuff anywhere- they just are good at putting together a presentation! Try pottery barn and crate and barrel for ideas.
