Depends on if you like your hair burned up with chlorine, sun or salt. You can always get a cheap thin sticky hair pulling , leaky egg head raceing /silicon cap and "be just like everybody else" . They have been around how long now 20-25 years.. get out ! The racing caps/silicon are tired leaky and ugly, time to move on. Retro caps strapped or not are very cool and protective ! Dig It! Cheap 3 dollar cap for a 3 dollar head ..15 dollar cap for a 15 dollar head.

only if you are swimming, the rubber is probably dry rotted and will offer not much protecting, but would look cute for a picture
