You can take any kind of normal electronics equipment, eg laptop computer, ipod, pda, phone, walkman, DVD player, gameboy. There are restrictions on whether you can use it however. Nothing can be used during take-off and landing, and devices with a radio transmitter such as a phone or pda must be switched off for the whole flight.
