Yes, God is all-powerful.
However, He will not do anything that is contrary to His nature:
He is holy and just, and cannot simply "forgive" sins - for then He would be unjust. In order to uphold His justice, sin MUST be duly punished.
Your problem is that you are not perfect and holy. Thus, in the all-seeing and rightly judging eyes of God, you are considered a sinner. You may not be a "sinner" in the sight of man, or a "sinner" in your own estimation, but you are a "sinner" in the sight of God. And that sin must be punished, or else God would be unjust.
So, you have a choice:
1) Accept due punishment from God for your sins, which God has declared to be eternal punishment in hell.
2) Accept His free offer of forgiveness of sins through faith in His Son Jesus Christ, who is an accepted sacrifice. Jesus Christ took our punishment upon Himself for our sins, so that God could be just AND forgive us for our sins.
-
As it is, you stand on very thin ice...and if you had any idea of the truth and reality behind what I say, you would flee to Christ in holy fear.
May He reveal Himself to you...before it is too late.

God did forgive sins prior to Jesus' sacrifice, but that's the key...sacrifice. The Old Testament and the Torah, Talmud, etc. contained "The Law" which forbid certain conduct as sins. If these sins were committed, then certain sacrifices were required: e.g. a burnt offering of the firstborn lamb that was "perfect" taken from your flock; your best animal. There was also a prophecy that one day a Messiah would come and make all of these sacrifices obsolete. Christians believe that Jesus was the fulfillment of this prophecy. His death by crucifixion fulfilled God's requirement for the atonement or payment for sin by the shedding of blood. God is omnipotent but He is also a God of laws. You must understand that you are asking a question that can only be answered within the framework of the Christian religion. There is an aspect of faith required in that one must accept the Bible in its entirety to assume there are such things as God, forgiveness, sin, and Jesus. Most folks are going to answer you as if they're trying to convert you. Your asking the question in a sense is like asking if God can make a rock that He cannot move. Either way the result is that he is not omnipotent. The question is a logical fallacy. By definition God is omnipotent and you commit the logical fallacy of petitio principii or begging the question by asserting He is anything but omnipotent. What you should be seeking to do is establish if God truly exists. If He does not exist, then he is not omnipotent, there is no sin, and no need for Jesus...heck, no Jesus either. If you believe in God as defined by The Bible then everything else must be asked and answered within its (The Bible's) framework. FYI...Jews (by religion, not necessarily the ethnicity) do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah and so they still wait on the Messiah. Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet but do not believe that he is their prophet or a personification of their God, Allah.

he's keen and in a position. earlier Jesus, sins have been nonetheless forgiven, genuine there have been all varieties of rules that had to be observed. The previous Covenant, decrease than which replaced into the ten Commandments, etc. priests had to make sacrifices for first their own sins, then the sins of the human beings. fortuitously we don't stay in that element. i don't opt to sound like i'm preaching or something (not that i think of there is something incorrect with that, maximum do exactly not like it). yet we don't stay in that element, there are not animal sacrifices or something of the like, because of the fact a miles better sacrifice replaced into made. the different 2 greatest theist religions, Jewish and Muslim, declare Jesus replaced right into a great guy. in case you have faith the Bible then he's the Son of God, sinless, harmless and organic. yet He died for us so as that each you may seek for God with the aid of Him. the hot Covenant is one in each of love and forgiveness. So forgiveness is accessible. God additionally gave us unfastened will, so the alternative is as much as the guy.

G-d can forgive sins without Jesus.
Christians look at Lev 17:11 and claim that this proves what Paul was saying, that only blood could redeem mankind.
What this passage is really saying is the blood is the life essence which is why it should not be drunk.
In fact, if you read the actual Law regarding animal sacrifice no where does it say that only blood can remove sin. Instead it says that blood removes unintentional sin. It says this over and over again and talks about all the situations where unintentional sin comes into play. Unintentional sin is done by someone not knowing that their actions go against G-d's will. They are not judged for this until the come into the knowledge that they have done something wrong. Then they are to repent.
G-d wants people to repent. Look at David. When Nathan came to David and revealed his sin, David did not grab the nearest large ox and haul it down to the temple to be sacrficed. Instead he repented and G-d heard him - forgiving his sins.
G-d repeated tells people that actions without faith is nothing to him. That they are to repent for their wrong doings and to turn their hearts to him.
In the end it is G-d who forgives sins - not the blood of an animal. It is only G-d to who our hearts turn, and only G-d that can forgive.

The problem here is that you don't realize just how bad sin really is.
Sin is worse than leprosy and cancer combined, from a spiritual perspective.
Sin is SO sinful, that the only way to deal with it is by death.
But God doesn't want to see ANY body go to hell, so He sent His Son to pay the ransom - the blood of an innocent to cover the guilty, as demonstrated in the Old Testament sacrifices, which were but a foreshadowing of the ultimate sacrifice of "the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world."
Our sins are, ultimately, an attitude of rebellion against God's rightful authority, which is tantamount to high treason. As you might guess, high treason, in ANY government, is punishable by death!
But God so loved this world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that if you would put your trust in Him, you would not perish in hell forever, but live forever in heaven.
When it comes to morality, God can not violate His very nature by just merely excusing and pardoning sin. His ability to pardon sin has no relationship to His omnipotence, but to His holy-ness.
God IS holy, which means He has zero tolerance for sin, and it MUST be dealt with.
But because God is Love, he took the penalty for YOUR sins.
All He's asking YOU to do is to admit that you are guilty of committing sins, and turn or repent of your sins, and humble yourself enough to ask God to forgive you and be the Lord (boss) of your life.
Well, the ball, as they say, is in your court. You can choose Jesus, or you can continue on your merry way right into the flames of hell. But God cries out "Please choose Life that you may live" (Jesus said "I am Life").
I pray that the God of all mercy opens your eyes that you may see His infinite Love for you while there is still time. His offer to grant you a pardon expires when you do.

Mat 9:13 But go and learn what this is, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Heb 7:22-28
(22) by so much was Jesus made a surety of a better covenant.
(23) And they truly were many priests, because they were not allowed to continue because of death;
(24) but He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
(25) Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them.
(26) For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners and made higher than the heavens,
(27) who does not need, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice daily, first for his own sins and then for the people's sins. For He did this once for all, when He offered up Himself.
(28) For the Law appoints men high priests who have infirmity, but the word of the swearing of an oath, after the Law, has consecrated the Son forever, having been perfected.
Rom 3:23-26
(23) for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,
(24) being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;
(25) whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God;
(26) for the display of His righteousness at this time, for Him to be just and, forgiving the one being of the faith of Jesus.
Rom 5:8 But God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 14:9 For this Christ both died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Because God requires payment for sin which we willfully choose. God did not bring sin into this world. That was Satan's doing. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Jesus is the payment for the sins of the whole world. God requires us to repent of our sins by believing and trusting in the Christ Jesus the Messiah to save us from the judgement that is to come.

Do you understand who "Jesus Christ" is?
Thats the name given him when he came as flesh to walk the Earth with man, BUT what he is, is the WORD OF GOD.
Meatbot is Meatbot, and what Meatbot posts is the "word of meatbot".
I guess thats an over-simplification, but
still accurate.
Jesus Christ is the WORD of God the Father.
THE WORD is what we have to live by, and to know what the Father says is right and what the Father says is wrong. Also, the
WORD tells us who we are, why we are here, where we were before we got here,
and whats gonna be the plan of the Father
in the future.
John 1:1 says:
In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD.

He sent His only begotten Son to us as a ransome sacrifice..to prove that there is a God for one thing...His Son knew what His role was, and knew that He would die for us...God Could forgive all of us without Christ if He had so chose...but, the Bible really is quite simple...it gives the history, and tells of Jesus, and the reason He was put here and Died, and was resurrected, as an example for us..if we chose to believe in Jesus, ..then we have God, and can choose who's side we are on...satan's, or God's...But because God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him, would have eternal life. ...

God couldn't forgive your sins with or without Jesus because
our sins don't really exist. We are dreaming we are sinners when in reality we are the Christ consciousness just as Jesus
is. That's what Jesus came to tell us. We are already in Heaven but don't know it because we are asleep. There is only GOD. There is nothing separate from God except in our dream. Our thoughts are just static keeping us from knowing that we're already home.
