Drinking about 75/80 oz of water daily is always benefitful but to lose weight isn't enough. You should decide how many calories you want in your diet, and then I would recomend looking for items that are low calorie, but also low fat, but it all depends on what you are doing for your diet. The main thing for a diet to work is just to consume fewer calories than what you are burning, so lower calorie is best. But the thing about just lower calorie is that you don't want to get something that is lower calorie, but still has a ton of fat, and you don't want to get something that is low calorie but with a ton of sugar. Just look at the labels and you need to figure out what fits into YOUR diet.

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.get-slender.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 5.49$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!

You will WEIGH less, but you will not be any thinner actually. Your body will not burn fat without some food to stoke your furnace, you will burn up muscle tissue and lose water from your tissues. In the long run, what do you really care about, meaningless numbers on the scale, or actually becoming thinner and healthier? Consume fewer calories than you expend, exercise, drink plenty of water, and cut out all junk/unhealthy foods. There is no "quick fix". You are going to go from one day to the next in this life, start living healthy right now, and you WILL see pleasant results by next week. Good Luck

In a word, no. You will probably put it on and more because your metabolism will slow with no food (under 1200 kcals a day the body goes into starvation mode) so it wont work!! when you start eating again your slowed metabolism will cause you to gain weight not lose it. Its not healthy either. In order to lose weight you need to eat a balanced calorie controlled diet to keep your metabolic system ticking over and so burn the calories. You can live on water alone for 4 days, yes, but youll go into starvation mode.

That is a temporary solution to weight loss and probably won't be that effective anyway. If you really want to eat healthy (cut out the crap in your diet) and exercise 3-5 times per week for a minimum of 30 minutes each day. Losing weight takes work and it takes even more to keep it off. It is a lifestyle change.

In my opinion, you should try eating fresh fruits, salads with oil and vinegar or low fat dressing, and much of nothing else. Continue to drink water, but cut as much fat and salt from your diet as possible as well as starches, which come from certain breads, pastas, potatoes, peas, corn, sugar, etc. Excess salt especially can cause water retention which can fosters water weight gain, but continuing with your recommended amounts of water and changing your diet can raise your metabolism which is going to cause you to lose 'real' weight. This will allow you, as the other ladies and gentlemen have stated, to retain your nutritional value and remain a healthy individual. It's also a great way to clean your system. You'll feel so much better. I've done it. Best Wishes!

If you do lose weight, you'll gain it all right back.
AND after 4 days of no food, you'll be ready to gnaw off your own arm.
If you want to lose weight, it might be easiest to suggest a modest diet, cutting out fried, fatty, sugary, snacky foods & then exercise 30 minutes a day. You can make this a part of your daily lifestyle and you'll not worry about gaining the weight back. Be good to your body, you have to live with it your entire life.
Your body will love you so much more if you diet the right way.

This is not a good idea! You need food and water to lose weight and walking is very good but if your not putting in enough healthy calories then your going to feel tired and sick and then you wont be able to walk or lose weight.

Losing weight is about consistency.....4 days isnt going to do it. Having at least 64oz of water a day is recommended for weight loss. Exercise is good as well and eating smaller portions
