Hi everyone! So yesterday I went to the doc and we did an ultrasound (just to see if perhaps we could see the gender)... my little brat had its feet crossed and was not about to move for no one! lol... I go back in 2 weeks to do the full ultrasound... has this happened to anyone and then at the following appointment found out the gender? I do have to say though... it sleeps just like daddy... arms up by the head and feet crossed... how cute it that???

Oh I got pictures! lol. The doc did some reg ones then some 4d ones... they all were so cute! The doc even tried to do a "lower" shot but NOPE... nada... those feet were crossed tight. My doc told me to make a stop at the gas station and get a soda... he said that should wake my little one up by the time we do the ultrasound. What did you hear would wake your little one up for the big ultrasound?

How adorable !! When I had my 1st ultrasound my little boy was standing at attention .. if ya know what I mean..... There was no doubt that he was a boy !!!

My co-workers told me to drink apple juice about half an hr before my appt and that would make the baby active for the ultrasound. It did work !!

My baby was laid back with one hand up to his face... kinda like he was saying good grief.... One leg was pulled up and the other was straight. He was laying like I do .. only he was on his back !!

Good Luck at the next ultrasound !!! Hope you get the gender that you were hoping for !!!

My first ultrasound at 19 weeks, we could not see the gender. My baby had her feet crossed and pulled close. My doctor only does ultrasounds at 18-20 weeks and another at 28-30 weeks. I wanted to know sooner than that, so dpctor recommended contacting a local tech college that does one free ultrasound to train their students. At this ultrasound (22 weeks), they were able to determine it was a girl. At my 28 week ultrasound at the doc's office, they were able to confirm it was a girl for me again.

So yeah, just because you can't tell the first time doesn't mean they'll be uncooperative every time! lol.

This happened to my friend. Both times the baby had her legs crossed. She eventually paid for the 3D and was able to find out there. Luckily my little one was laying with her legs wide open so we got a good look. Hopefully this time around will be the same. Next time eat a meal right before so that the baby will be active.

Oh, and the arms up by the head is so precious. I beleive most babies do that, and they continue doing it outside of the womb too and it's so sweet.

I have gone for three ultrasounds and each time my baby just covered his face. He did not care about his "parts" showing but he just did not want anyone looking at his face! He covered his face with his arms (like he was pouting) then he kept he hands up on his face and kept leaning his head back so we could not see his face at all three u/s! And he moves so much, the u/s tech had the hardest time getting pictures because he was moving around so much. The u/s took an hour and a half. He is shy just like his daddy.

Awww, that is so cute! I hope you were able to get a picture of it :) I had that happen with one of my kids. He just did not want to cooperate. (That hasn't changed at all in 4 years, by the way.) The next appointment I sat in the car on my way to the appointment eating tacos and an ice cream to try and convince him to be awake when we got there. He was and it was definitely a boy! Good luck and congratulations!!

Before you go to have your u/s you can try eating or drinking caffeine/sugar such as coffee or chocolate or what ever you have noticed that makes your baby active to make the baby active and that may keep your baby from going to sleep and give a better chance at getting a peek..

Good Luck

For my ultrasound with my son, it was the opposite. The tech said something like, "Oh i think that might be a girl...NO! nope, it's a boy! Definitely a boy!"
Then she couldn't measure anything else because he kept sticking his pee pee in front of her little camera! What a nudist!
